That is where you are technically wrong. The 6 they revealed for UMvC3 is very much for the COMIC fans. While Capcom is going for gamer fan favorites, Marvel is all about comic fans/best business decision characters. But rest assured, the marvel side of the new 12 is very much for comic fans
example: People have been raging over Rocket Raccoon, but he is a fan favorite of COMIC Marvel.
The new HUD at ComicCon wasnt well received, so they switched it back and put Thanos in.

The funny thing is, I worked in a comic book store when MvC3 was released. X-23 was the only character revealed that made comic fans rage believe it or not. But all 6 of those were on people’s wish list for marvel side. I am very happy about Marvel side additions, and I can has Stryder, I am more than happy and hyped for UMvC3

idk but I think marvel may put in some fans demanded characters like gambit/ckye/Venom/psylocke,etc .Unpopular dlc characters wont sell as good imo and they are a company that wants to make money.

I would like to see Thanos, I wouldn’t be surprised by Luke Cage because Iron Fist is already there, I think Daredevil has a high chance of being in there because of the stage, and I guess they would probably add a girl or people would complain. Again.
Oh yeah, and Doc Ock could always show up again. Maybe Marvel has a rule that all octopus-related characters must be DLC, so he couldn’t be put into UMvC3.
For Marvel I predict a Spiderman rep, kinda hoping for more Cosmic though. Might also be a Scarlet Witch, Ms. Marvel, Emma Frost if Marvel cares at all about the female quota, but I kinda get the feeling they don’t. Unless Capcom is making a special request like they did with Phoenix, and likely MSS, expect any Marvel dlc to be from one of their more prolific comic series that’re upcoming or published within the last couple of years.
