Dasrik and StiltMan teach Blackheart

What’s up with the caps?

Anyway to the answer about the doing infinites with team watts, I find that trying to frustrate your opponent with that team is a lot more worth going for than to do the infinites with Blackheart. If you check this thread, and there should be another thread that talks about strategy with Watts.

Hope it helps.

Okay, I’m not sure what’s going on but I didn’t post that. That’s too stupid even for me.

hey stilt ive been trying to play bh/sent/cyke but for some reason i can’t get cyke to work with the other 2.if u can pls give me some poinetrs or tips how to make this team work i’d appreciate it.thanks

I’m not Stilt I know, but I play this team for fun, and I like to help so…

If you can’t get cyke to work with the other two, consider how you are using him. Blackheart can use Cyke to set up an infinite(cr. lk + cyke, cr. lk, cyke hits, sj. hk xx ad. b hk), and for defensive purposes. Remember the priority of Blackheart’s pokes(lp’s and lk’s), and to use then when you are with in those particular pokes’ range. Also, be sure to, with Blackheart, use Cyke to lead to big damage and DHC’s to Sent.

If your opponent is doing something really stupid in the air, and you have 2+ meters, then wait until they do an attack, and then do hp Inferno xx HOD(whiff), DHC to HSF. Then tack on the other stuff.

Now with Sentinel in, you have two pretty nice assists to control a lot of stuff with. First of all, you have Sent/Blackheart, which is a very potent trap, and you have Sent/Cyke, which is a good assist to control the air with, and also do a little bit of damage with. Granted, Cyke is not Capcom, but he is better in some respects, as he is a better point character than Capcom.

Trapping with Sent/Blackeart is a really good thing to do. Here are some basic ways you can trap with them.

cr. fp + BH xx lk drones, cr. fp…

  1. xx rocket punch xx HSF, and repeat.
  2. xx fly xx unfly.

One for chip, one for zoning purposes.

cr. fp + BH xx hk drones(hold), cr. fp, bombs hit, whatever.

This is for use ONLY when you have your opponent expecting lk drones.

Use Blackheart to get to people that Cyke cannot in the air.

If you ever get a chance to launch with Sentinel, and you have Cyke on your team, do this very easy and damaging combo:

st. hk + Cyke, sj. hp, cyke hits, lp rocket punch.

What some people fail to see about Cyke, is that as Psylocke gives easy mode setups for Magneto, he gives easy mode damage in the air to Sentinel, as in this corner combo:

st. lk, st. lp xx rocket punch xx HSF, dash in, st. hk + Cyke, sj. lp, cyke hits, st. hp, beam hits, hp rocket punch, sj. hp, sj. hk(otg hopefully).

If you ever hit this in the corner, someone is going to be seriously maimed, if not killed. One key to this combo, is when you launch, make sure you slow dial the sj. lp and sj. hp so that the Cyke hits connect.

Also, use Cyke’s invincibility and range to do a lot of other things. For example, if someone calls Doom unprotected, then countercall with Cyke. He will eat doom up. Also, use Cyke to keep someone in blockstun. Remember that Sent’s normals do chip damage, and Cyke’s assist keeps someone in blockstun a lot more than it should. So use that to your advantage in stomp patterns.

If at all you have to play Cyke on point, just remember that he can be a beast as well. Cyke/Sent can be a very potent duo. As always, use blackheart to get people in the air, just make sure you call him when you see them jump. Some stuff you should know with Cyke/Sent:

cr./st. fp + Sent.

A way to build meter on the ground. Use in conjunction with Blackheart to keep them grounded for the drones to chip.

Remember about Cyke’s air normals. They have very crazy priority over stuff it shouldn’t. Use them. sj. hk’s build meter fast for you, and if the opponent comes towards you, then use the appropriate normal to attack them.

The Combo for DHCing out Cyke, or just to do damage with him is:

st. hk x 2 xx cyclone kick xx SOB.

This is a GREAT DHC to Sent. Use it whenever you get the chance.

All in all, there is some stuff that may or may not help you using this team. Just remember to gameplan according to how you want to play that team. This is some basic stuff I feel you should know with this team. I hope that this helps you in the future matches you have, and good luck.

What should I do after a land HoD in the corner?

What I Do For Pressure Is I Use Guile Bh And Doom I Usually Do Pokes Strings Wit Hbh Which I Getting Pretty Good At Now But Its Just All On About How Well U Can Read The Players Actions That Will Tell U Wheater To Stand Lp. Or Lp. Lp. Lp. Or Even If They Jump And U Know Its Coming Do J.lk J.mp To Keep Them Grounded Pretty Much I Zone Very Well With Bh To Me Its Just On How U Can Control U Oppoent Plus Bh Got Mad Reach In The Air And Ground Hey Dasrik U Got Any Tips On Poke Strings With Bh And Doom ??? Bh On Ponit Of Course.

Wow buddy learn english how about? And thank god for caps filter.

ParryPerson: Standing Roundhouse.

Sentinel_Cheese: First get them to block something near the ground, then just jump forward while slowly tapping short until the rocks go away.

You can actually do a second standing roundhouse and jump in with short kicks.

thanks dasrik i was kinda thinking something in that line but wasnt too sure how do you think that teams sounds is guile and good character to play with along with BH i also use sprial with BH i can do some nice traps with sprial on point call swords shoot straight out power up with her call more swords and throw swords while calling BH out its kinda more chip damage with powered swords flying at you and if they hit its hurts too. so what do ya think ???

Spiral/BH/Guile? I guess this is kind of interesting, but you’re running into three major issues:

  1. NO ONE on this team has a good damage combo, and nobody here can really attack head-on safely.

  2. All the characters take major mental energy to execute well, so it’s not a tournament-worthy team to be sure.

  3. You have issues if someone chooses to counter you with another Blackheart-centric team.

Other than that, it’s not bad.

Dasrik whats the best way to play against sents and mags and storms with BH i usually poke string and wait unti lthey assist or a opening comes up and is it safer for me to do lp. inferno when a mag or storm or sent super jumps because there automatically are gonna air dash right???

Go to GameFAQs, read my Blackheart FAQ. Sorry, I’m not gonna just repeat myself over and over again, dude

sry didnt no u wrote a faq for gamefaqs lol my bad

Heh.

People in Portland will testify that if I’m in practice, I will hit this 80-90% of the time. Once in a while I’ll louse up the inferno timing on it so that the HOD has a greater chance of hitting and screwing up the HSF hit. I find it easiest to do it on Cable and Magneto and harder to do on Storm and smaller “pixie” characters. For practical purposes, this combo doesn’t happen on Sentinel unless you supstitute Cammy or Guile or something for Commando as your AAA to set it up. Guile is probably the easiest AAA to hit it with as a one-size-fits-all character in the game, but there’s this slight problem that Guile is pretty much awful with Sentinel.

The defense rests.

does Bh’s super still hit while in HSF from Sent??? or its just cancels Bh’s super out???

No. The point of the DHC is to make sure that Blackheart’s demons don’t attack at all. The reason it is so powerful is that if you do it right, Sentinel only has three hits before he can attack you again. DHCs reset damage scaling, so you’re going to get tons of damage on your followup.

when do you cancel so that the demons dont hit???

Ask Eric. I haven’t found a reliable visual cue.
