Yayness for the original starters of this thread coming back, because I do have some questions.

My best teams, seem to revolve around Blackheart. So I have some questions for you guys concerning my 4 best Blackheart teams. In order:

Watts: Is there more than one way to play this team? I normally use the frustration/zoning game with this team most of the time. I was wondering if this gameplan can be taylored to more of a rushdown offensive game?

BH/Doom/Cable: Is this team limited by putting Cable in the third position? The way I normally play this team is usually try and build meter for Cable, and then get him in some way, whether that be via random RH demons hitting, or then I have a secondary gameplan by just trapping with BH/Doom.

BH/Cable/Cyke: Though I also think that it is not fun using the infinite, would the infinite be beneficial if you can reset the damage after every rep? Also, with this team, how many meters would you guys say would kill a whole team, or at least kill two and a half characters?

Cable/BH/Capcom: I use Cable/BH like I use Cable/Storm-Y. Is this a good way to think about using this assist for this team, or using Cable/BH in general? Also, what do you think about the damage of this corner DHC:

cr. lk, cr. lk, st. hk + Capcom xx SJ up forward, sj. hp xx AHVB xx DHC Armageddon?

Should I bother with using that, or is there another one of Blackheart’s supers I should use? Or should I just stick to super jump canceling up back and then gun xx AHVB x 2?

Also, Is Doom/BH/Commando a team worth picking up? I have been thinking about using them as of late.

You can play this team in a variety of ways, but there is only one way that really works, and that is to start Sentinel and do the trap. The Sentinel/Blackheart trap is really flexible and allows you to freewheel it for the most part, and you don’t even have to have that good of a Sent. In fact, it’s actually a good way to learn the character.

I don’t like teams that bank on CAHVB for the win, but that’s just me. You have Cable problems from the get-go. BH/Doom can fight Cable, but it’s work and most of the time you don’t want to be there. I suggest starting Doom.

I would just build as much meter as possible without trying to reset, then tag in Cable and kill them. They lose a character, and you have Cable. However, you probably need three meters to do that, at least.

Seems like a lot of work. Eric (StiltMan) has more experience with this team than I do, so he could probably answer your questions better.

It’s my own personal Team Scrub. But don’t take my word for it. Try it yourself.

You can reset the damage after every two reps. As soon as the character hits the ground after the second rep, you have split second window for a crouching short to start it over again. As far as the amount of meter it takes to kill two and a half characters, you will need at least 4 to do the job. depends on the situation, but I would say thats the amount you need. It’s very rare that you will 5 in the bank, if you do more power to you.

Bahhhhh…I’m having trouble gameplanning against Mag/Doom/Sent with Watts.

Is this a bad matchup? Or can I beat this team with Watts? I know what not to do against this team, but I don’t know what I should be doing to get advantagious positions.

Anyone wanna help?

Double Edit: And gameplaning against Rowtron with Watts as well. The guy I played had a very patient Mag, which I am not accustomed to.

You might want to ask Stilt. He has more expieriance with those teams than I do. I’m sure he will be able to give you a detailed description on what to do in certain situations.

Shit, and here i thought that MVC2 was dying, yet i see new blood and interested in blackheart. LOL, well that is good i guess although i feel bad for the newbs cause you guys sure took a bad time to learn blackheart with the game being played right now. However it is refreshing to see players thinking outside the box(the big 4).

Really, the rebirth of the two threads here can be traced back to Dasrik posting, a old school pro at BH, If more pro’s or older more experianced players would post in various forums more, this forum would be alot more busy.

I guess they are either out of fighters or don’t feel like repeating themselves with stuff they might have answered before. I don’t know.

ok, Parryperson or any other newb that needs help with blackheart, post your question and i’ll try to see if i can help. I have been playing with blackheart for some years now, and i have played the best in the game with my blackheart so i may be able to give you some pointers here and there. And before i forget always remeber to give your props. to dasrik and stilt. cause ALL OF US have benefitted from their advice at some point in our game. Anyways, have any Q’s post it i’ll check on the thread on a regular basis to see wat’s up.
