I’ve been using a TE for around a year and while I’ve gotten pretty proficient with it I can not for the life of me manage to produce clean dashes. Most of the I have to press a direction 3-4 times instead of 2 to get a dash. This hasn’t been an issue up to now but I’ve been trying to learn dash forward ultra on charge characters and my sloppy dashes are clearly preventing me from doing them.
Any idea what I could be doing wrong? I have no freaking clue what the issue is.
I kinda faced the same problem. When you are trying to execute something totally sweet, you tense up and stiffen up, causing stress and forcing you overspam certain inputs. This was something I noticed as I was going through Trials. You just got to learn to relax as you are executing something. When you are relaxed, you start playing more precise.
Just keep doing Practice Mode. Practice executing slow, even though you know nothing will come out. Just do it slow anyway and over time, start building up speed until it executes normally. Remember, practice but stay relaxed.

Make sure your stick is going all the way to neutral between forward inputs. Try letting go of the stick completely before pressing forward again.
press both punch buttons at the same time
I see what you did there
I have the same issue generally because I do it too fast and don’t hit nuetral…
