Darren Shahlavi (Mortal Kombat: Legacy, Ip Man 2) has died

It sadness me so much to hear that Darren Shahlavi has passed away!
He was one of the best fighters I met during filming Pound of Flesh…and I was looking forward to meet him again on the set of Kickboxer: Vengeance.
RIP, my friend…I love you.

*Message from Joey Ansah: Hi Guys, yesterday was a very sad day for many of us, as news broke of Actor and Martial Artist Darren Shahlavi’s sudden death. He had become a very close friend of mine and his loss has hit me deeply. He is was one of the rare few action actors working in the business who could act and do his own action for real. He has worked for and opposite legends such as Yuen Woo Ping, Wu Jing, Donnie Yen, Sammo Hung, Scott Adkins, JCVD to name but a few! I had hopes of working with him someday and maybe having him as part of SF:World Warrior. He would have been a badass Rolento. Darren you’ll be missed but never forgotten…
