i would like the hopefull new darkstalkers game to beef up demitri and make him more rush down by possibly adding a new move that will creates mix ups. something that can go meaty, jump in and hit more than once, can use in a dash and comboable. make him godlike in priority. please get him out of the corner and into the dimension of speed, mixups, combos.
This aint relevant to the topic but here’s Daigo owning fools in Vampire Hunter…
That would be nice. This fighter is so vewy beautiful:lovin:.
Bulleta would fit that style so good…
I second the notion of having the game in similar style to Battle Fantasia! That game didn’t get enough love.
nah man.
cell shading sucks and is overused.
only thing i like in cell shading anymore is the futurama show.
(uless they made a new unique type of cell shding like how sf4 has i suppose)
But Battle Fantasia isn’t cel shaded. It has like, no shading (or possibly normal shading with tons of ambient light… I own the game, but I have no PS3 so I can’t check lol). Just painted textures.
And yes, cel shading is overused. It was awesome in Jet Set Radio though. And I guess it works in TvC.
TVC’s cell shading is neat and pretty though.
I like Cel shading. I’d play a fighter that looked like Wind Waker. But I don’t think Cel shading suits Darkstalkers unless they can find a way for it to look like a comic book.
i’m pretty sure BF uses some cell shading but not on the BG’s i think.
TVC’s cell shading is ok for that game and that hardware but it is pretty standard cell shading and i dont want it on other games.
how did blazblue do their BG’s because they blend in pretty nicely.
Yeah, I went to check some HQ screens of BF, and they do use something. They clearly have some sort of outline thing going on. But I rarely see any light on the characters (on sunny levels it looks like no shading, on darker/moody levels it looks like standard shading maybe?), and like you say nothing on the BGs.
Anyway, that’s not the point though… The point is BF looks sweet
Capcom, make this crap happen… please?
i’d say BF looks ok.
it isnt ‘wow’ impressive.
since its the oldest 2.5 game i can think of (this gen) i’d say it looks sweet for its age.
i like fighting games in general, so i can’t say that i wouldn’t be interested if they did do a remake, hd remix(which i highly doubt) …at best, they’ll probably port the game to xb360 and psn
Even if it’s not a remake I’d love to see a release like the psp ver for home consoles with all playable characters and maybe some rebalancing.
No need to make a new DS in 3d, just give it the same quality that BB:CS is getting & it’ll look brilliant.
Plus, who doesn’t want to see HD Lilith, Morrigan, & Felicia. . .
The same thing can be said for 3D. The women will still look sexy.
StILL?! Better cause its in 3D !:wgrin:
cant wait to see a new darkstalkers in slomo speed with 2 button throws
Don’t forget easiest dp motion, and stupid mechanics that don’t need to exist in a darkstalkers game. You’ll also have to link every other normal you do in a “chain” combo.
The biggest issue would just be making the game feel right in the SF4 engine without people pulling their eyes out from not knowing what was going on at turbo 3 speeds. The game doesn’t exactly need anything new mechanically, a few rebalances would be nice, but not really necessary. To be honest, the SF4 treatment to the SF franchise seemed better suited to Darkstalkers where they brought back everyone from the original and then added characters was all you really needed since every character already had EXs and stuff.
New Darkstalkers only really needs every character, Anakaris buff and then the VS2 characters rebalanced as I heard Donovan was terribly imba, but probably better people out there to know what the hell VS2 was about since I don’t know anyone who plays the game competitively. Don’t really need new system mechanics, don’t need ULTRAS, don’t need DF, DF Dps though I honestly don’t see that hurting the game much as DPs in DS/VS were much more easily punished than compared to in SF4. I might argue to move every MP/HP or MK/HK throw to just HP/HK because of the prevalent scrubby-ness of certain players not meaning to throw with a move that it’s attached to since it might be a good mashable poke (aka Felicia forward walking mp). Throw button designations for the charactes weren’t as well thought out as in ST where they were more specific and 1 button for P or K, so I don’t see why some characters should have this anyways since if you know you’re going to throw, why not just throw with the proper button instead of mashing your poke and getting a random throw out of it. Might not matter at higher level play, but some throws aren’t even used at that level because they suck and lead to nothing and they’re nothing but annoying at lower levels where it comes out because of mash instead of intention.
i am more excited to see what each character’s “spooky combo” will be
