Mar, I’m kind of surprised that you didn’t use Anakaris’ MP normals and ES throw very often against Felicia. Is there a reason for it or do you just prefer to play a fairly offensive Anakaris?
Take a look at the first active hitbox in the standing mp. As you can see, the standing mp has a very tiny hitbox on the first active frame with a ton of hurtbox all around it. This would make the risk in Felicia’s favor as she statistically has a better normal set all around to beat a basic s.mp AA.
ES grab will not grab anyone who is conditioned to sit still. Felicia is a character that will be jumping around so much that it makes this move not worth the risk of throwing it out.
This matchup is not easy at all no matter what level of play you are in, but is made worse the higher you go. In high level it will only take the Felicia player one time to get in and I’m in an endless blockstring that does chip damage which is pretty much all you need to do in that match against Anakaris. This is part of the reason I prefer to go all out when I play my low tiers. If I’m going to go down, I will go out swinging on my terms.

is it possible to find some ranked matches for a newcomer? (psn, europe) or online is dead and its a waste of money?
Well I’ll be blunt. If you’re only looking for ranked matches you’re out of luck. You’ll be waiting for a while for a match and you’ll mostly face Japanese players. Now if you want to play in lobbies in player matches that’s where you’ll find more people like me and the people over at Capcom Unity. But look at it like this. If people never get into the game then Ranked will always be dead. Only way to fix that is for people to play. We can work something out and I’ll get me and my friends on ranked.
player matches are also great, gonna grab it and hit the lab then. it is just that with new games ranked seems to be more popular so i thought that’s where most of the players are. thanks a lot
Well Darkstalkers Ressurection has been out for over a year now. Most people think its dead so they don’t get into it. Quite the vicious cycle. Us over at Capcom Unity want to show that Darkstalkers Ressurection is still active and worth getting into.
