Yes.
Yeah, the RAP3 comes with a JLF stick and Hori buttons. The only problem with Hori buttons is that some of them have the tendency to go bad after a few months. I like how they feel (almost like a cross between Seimitsu and Sanwa), but Hori’s quality control is kind of weak in that regard. They make excellent sticks, though. The joystick they put in their low end models feels like a less-mushy JLF with a stronger spring.
I’ve had mine for almost a year and the buttons are still as good as they were on day 1
I should add that it’s possible that he put Sanwa microswitches inside of the stock button housings. I did that with my EX2. They snap right in.
I’m pretty sure you need a dremel to fit any 30mm button in an EX2.
He put in Sanwa SW-68, not a Sanwa Button.
Oh just the microswitches okay haha, My bad.
Just thought I would comment real quick. Latif does in fact use the New Slim Arcade model by Arcade-in-a-Box. He was the first one to have the new model. It’s the same as the ones at the Skull Girls booth. Latif just used Seimitsu parts and Skull Girls are Sanwa.
Hope that clarifies that. We still have the 10% off deal until tomorrow. EVO2K11 at check out FYI :).
so a few of u guys say the street fighter x tekken stick is gonna replace the te sticks? i hope not they should just keep making both the te looks alot better imo
It looks like Mad Catz is going in the same direction as Hori in terms of trying to replicate Viewlix arcade cabs. Having enough room on a joystick to rest your wrist isn’t cool anymore, I guess.
yea i hope they still make both if not i may pick up like two extra new te’s if they announce the switch to the sf x tekken stick exclusive it looks cool the bottom looks horrible and idk y its red
This (the quote above). Fuck the “omg that X brand stick will make my Y character game play better” bull shit. Having Some “Magical” format and combination of parts is not going to improve your game; practice, dedication and hard work will. DaRabidDucky got it right with this statement.
Its like thinking a pair of Nike Air Jordans will make you play like Michale Jordan, I tell you it is not the shoes, its blood sweat and tears.
There is no right or wrong stick for what ever game or character. Go with what you feel comfortable with.
To any one who say they need X part or Y arcade stick is spouting loser talk, when some of the pros just borrow whats ever on-hand, unless there sponsor wants them to use what ever model joystick so that the sponsor can sell more sticks.
There’s still enough room, you’re supposed to rest your wrist on the slanted wrist rest area. That’s the standard on Vewlix cabs.
I think that Japanese cabs in general are designed more for efficiency than comfort. Putting the stick right next to the buttons and reducing the size of the wrist area strikes me as a space-saving measure designed with crowded Japanese real estate in mind. I’m sure it’s also a product of asian physiology. I’m a tall white guy and my right wrist swings in the breeze when I’m on a Japanese cab. The ‘wrist’ area turns into a ‘palm’ area. It’s definitely not a one-size-fits-all solution, which is why I’m disappointed that Hori and Mad Catz are moving in that direction.
Yep he got it 2 days before the evo started.
QuanBa don’t sponsor him directly, they have a partnership with eLive tho (RF got a Q4 and played with him too).
Interesting thing, eLive staff didn’t said a word about the partnership, they just proposed them to test that stick. They wanted it so bad, they were relieved when Gegz announced the partnership.
I kept staring at Daigo’s arcade stick (that’s what she said) and I thought it looked unique. It looked pretty cool, didn’t know it was a SFXT stick. Badass.
Why does it matter what sticks they used? Having the same stick as said player will not make you as good as them and it will not make you learn the game faster or get better at any game.
Quit being fan boys and just use whatever is comfortable for you.
lol.
The FightStick PRO will not replace the Tournament Edition FightStick.
To clear it up, BROKENTIER.Latif used an AIAB custom. Daigo used a prototype SFXT FightStick PRO.
I think he was just curious because most people on stream use a TE, and his stick doesn’t look like the standard colors for a TE.
FightStick PRO replacing FightStick Tournament Edition.
Laugh.
Why people keep typing weirdness.
