I was once hospitalized for a week for a cellulitis infection on my leg that got from bad to worst as I turned out to be allergic to the medication I was taking (I was alergic to the sulfides in the medication).
My Leg swelled to 3 or 4 times it’s normal size and I turned dark red (from the allergic reaction). The allergic reaction made the infection worst and they has to do a ultrasound of my leg.
I was fortunate the infection didn’t spread to my blood, but I had to be on a IV drip to flush my system out.
Turns out that Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) and Codeine taken together gives you one hell of a high.
Yes the hospital staff gave me hospital grade Diphenhydramine via injection for the allergy side effects and 50mg of pure Codeine for the pain.
