hehe same with ken. He’s already got great anti-airs but there are a few situations where he has to block. In S-groove, you don’t need to block…dodge, then dodge-punch into funky kick. safe and annoying. dodge-kick is a decent knockdown tool as well. But yeah dodge-fierce just makes his great fierce even better.
Dude, C-Kyo is the dopest thing out there. He’s just too cool, he fucking builds meter like nuts and can use it. Oh man but yeah cr.shortx2, st.strong, lk upkicks into lvl 2 wave super, into dp/kick dp. Too good. And he dizzies mofos like crazy.
So i’m training in a-groove. I really want to play with a-bison and a-sakura but the third one is not a defined choice, Im thinking about Vega, so the team would be like>
sakura-vega-bisonr2, i came to this thinking that vega coming in before bison can charge meters for him to use. Is there a real problem on this team formation? i accept suggestions >D
^^ I’ve always heard that you want Vega first not only to build meter, but because he can gain a lead pretty easily. I’ve seen many games where Vega is finally killed by a half life R2-Sagat.
put vega first. he doesn’t need the meter as much as the other two do (not that i’m taking away anything from them). sakura’s and bison’s custom comboes do MUCH more damage than vega’s.
Put Vega first. He can be annoying even without meter. Sakura can build meter very fast too, so putting her second would be better. Not only can she make good use of the meter Vega builds but she’ll probably get another full bar before she dies (which she can use herself or she can hand it over to Bison).
Ok guys, i was afraid of entering with a meterless bison, but i’ll shall try it that way >D
So the most popular way to organize teams is battery/user/anchor, right?
I kind of like a different approach…
Like (rushdown character/solid turtle and zoning character/Sagat or Blanka)
I don’t really care too much about meter because I think I build it up efficiently enough. I like to put my rushdown character first because I can go nuts on my opponent and get a good read on his playing style/ability. If things go well (and they usually do cuz I’m wepeel, master of the universe), I just keep rushing down. However, if I’m beat, then my zoning chracter (Guile, Vega, etc) will play much more patiently with the knowledge I got from the death of my first character.
Bison first is a neat idea. He doesn’t need life bar to do damage, just meter. If he survives the first round, he should be well on his way in building bar for the second round, which can translate into another victory for him via custom.
Hm…I don’t think I’ve ever used the battery/user/anchor method ever in my whole time of playing CVS2…my team tends to be (always C-Groove. Never really use any of the other grooves that often), in order; Mai, Terry, and Akuma or Mai, Bison, and Rugal. Sadly for me, my friends never play 3 vs 3, so I don’t get to play my teams that often anymore…
okay, i got two questions:
- who is a good anchor for an N-groove team with iori and akuma? i was thinking about using sagat or chun li. any other suggestions?
- is having iori and akuma on the same team, okay?
1.) Sagat, Chun, Blanka.
2.) Pretty good… Akuma takes damage like a bitch though so be careful. Both of them deal good damage without meter, and you can mix some RD setups in with Akuma.
-
Sagat would be my first choice. Chun Li & Hibiki would be my next choice but you got have a really solid execution so you can get the most damage possible when you have an opening. Cammy would be a good choice too, althought N-Cammy isn’t as good as P/K-Cammy.
-
It’s OK, but they’re both rushdown type characters and both of them need to be up close in order to do the most damage. But if you’re really good with both of them, then go for it.
Hmmm, that’s a nice way to put teams. I might try that.
how about those teams I use? Do they look fine?
I wanna change the K-groove team to P-groove, replacing Blanka with Cammy. I have some trouble switching from K-Kyo to P-Kyo, any tips?
Push forward instead of back.
P-Kyo, Cammy, Sagat is really good…I think that might be P-are, actually. (Someone tell me if I used that term improperly)
Learn how to fish for parries and be patient. If you’re anything like me, K-Kyo is really aggressive with rush down, combos, and supers going all round…and then P-Kyo is hella patient waiting for parry into bnb knockdown, mixup on wakeup.
P-are is… P groove Blanka, Kyo, CammyR2. Seitai’s P Blanka is now the third best P character in Japan as of right now. P Sagat is out…:wonder:
Eh I dont know. Charge chars in P groove arent so hot, despite what setai may do with blanka. Sagat gets a lot more options off a parry rather than just sweep. If sagat has meter, just crouch fierce into super after parry. Plus that P team has 2 batteries as Kyo rarely uses meter.
If you start Blanka, he doesn’t really suffer at all in P. Plus he roughs up a lot of typical starting characters.
P-Blanka/Kyo/Cammy is a very good team. I don’t see it as much worse than P-Kyo/Sagat/Cammy… but Kyo has much better match-ups against typical batteries than he does against typical users.
I think you definitely need Cammy, and then any two of the other three, depending on your strengths. I would be more comfortable with Sagat/Kyo 'cause the extent of my Blanka play is whoring A or rush down K…both of which don’t work for me in P.
K-Rock/Kyo/Cammy
I ain’t startin Cammy, so who should I start? Rock or Kyo?
