So does my dog.
Thanks for the replies guys.
i like cammys character design but i cant get really good with her, although i can use her better than blanka. shes just too linear to me.
same with sagat. i always lose the sagat vs sagat mirror matches. dude is too slow for me. give me vega and sakura anyday.
about geese:
i find him fun, a little hard to play but easier than ken, rock, kyo, and a few others. he doesnt really beat any of the top and high tier characters except ken.
his c.hk is really good, its just that it has shit loads of recovery when missed. i usually buffer it into a reppuken or a counter move if i think they’ll try to punish it. yeah its risky, but geese can take a beating or two and also does pretty good damage himself.

Geese easier to use then ken hell no. ken is i think is the most easyest character to play in the game.
Geese is a badass, espacially in k or n groove even though i never use k.
his normal combos are already sick, his lp mk xx special is the shiawt
I also find Ken easier to play then Geese.
My only problem with Geese is that your execution needs to be really good. Now, if I had the game at home so I could freakin practice, I’d pick him up.
Ken = easier.

Doesn’t that apply to every character you play and want to be good with?

Do you really need good execution to be fantastic with Cammy? Sagat? Vega?

I’d say so with Sagat. A lot of his complicated links are on the hard side.
Yes. Cammy and Sagat to DP low jumps and crossups. Vega for RCs. If it’s K, good execution of JDs (likewise for P with parries). If it’s A, good execution of CCs. Most likely it’s C for that team. You need good execution of links and level 2 cancels, reversals, etc.
To be fantastic with any character, you need good execution. So-so play will only get you so far (maybe one win at Evo?). You shouldn’t “settle” for what is enough to beat your current competition if you ever plan to play ANYONE besides them. ALWAYS work on your execution because in pressure situations that is what counts the most.
Well…Yeah. But…Okay, how to explain…
He just feels really different. My execution is pretty good in general, but it feels like Geese takes a lot to get used to. If I were to practice with Geese for an hour, and then practice with Ken for an hour, I guarantee I’d be a lot better with Ken, and Geese would still take some time for me to get good with. You get what I’m saying? :looney:

I know some people will come on with complicated stuff about evrybody needs good execution, but at the end geese is one of the characters whos if u suck with execution u cant play with.
1.His lp lp lp hk is a very good combo but its possible to sometimes misstime the last kick.
-
His close cr.lp or st.lk cr.hp xx jaiken needs a player whos a lil decent with execution, and sometimes a qcb p comes out instead of the jaiken.
-
his lp mk xx special also needs good execution, remember to hold mk
-
he has the hardest special in the game, blazing storm, or deadly rave wtv, i just do qcb qcb qcf p fast and it comes out only 50 percent of the time.
but if your execution with geese comes out to not be a problem due to practice, then man geese can fuck up some people good.

N-groove akuma, iori, sagatR2. Akuma plays like he’s in super turbo, building meter and spending it independently (watch nuki). iori takes whatever is left and saves for sagat. sagat turns into rape machine.
is this any good or should I go back to k groove?
With that same team and if you can RC well (fbs/hurricane kicks with Akuma, rekkas with Iori), N is better than K. Replacing Akuma and Iori with other characters (maybe Ryu and Kyo, as in Team AO), then you have a very good team in K (provided you can JD extremely well).

actually my k groove team is rock, kyo, sagat. I just want to n-groove because it’s simple and I like it. I also want to abuse RC’s as much as possible. they’re so good.
now on to my next question, and my last. imagine two evenly matches top level players using the n-groove team mentioned above, and the k-groove team I’m using now rock, kyo, sagatR2. which would win? I’m trying to only practice with one team so I can get more consistent. the thing is, I don’t know which one would take me farther.

I don’t think N is easier than K.
And who cares if the K-team is slightly better than the N-team, or vice versa? Just play what you want. Either that, or just use A-Are. If you’re not using the BEST team in the game, does it really matter if you have the 34th best team or the 29th?

i just started this team, N:vega, iori or ryu, sagat
vega is already solid, he doesnt need meter so he builts it for the second char, and he deals perfectly againt himself and blankas and cammys.
if vega did his job well iori and ryu should be treatning with the bar, iori and ryu are my 2 best chars to pull out supers with.
and at the end its sagat and evryone knows about sagat
i have a whole bunch of teams with alot that works with difrent philosophys, this one is just my most recent one
I’d stay in N if you’re gonna use this team IMO. I’ve seen some good K - Akumas, but he’s no doubt better in N, and it’s kind of awkward to play Iori without roll (it’s definitely possible though). Iori and Akuma are kind of interchangeable, so that’s a good point. Sagat’s always a rape machine as anchor, as long as he’s in C/A/P/S/N/K groove…
But hey, whatever your preference is, go with it.
Dope team, personally I would put Chun-li or maybe Hibiki R2 instead cause I hate Sagat in general.

Don’t try and shortcut moves in any game, it won’t make you any better. How I got to be able to do RS with Geese from anywhere was just drilling the motion, and plus I already played him in SNK games (IMO it’s easier to do it in SNK games)
