I do that if I feel like I’m going to fuck up the next few parries. Sometimes I just get feelings like that.
or just baiting them into doing xx super and making them feel dumb by parrying it and shit…STYLE!!
matt: yes i suck.
One move that I encounter a lot in playing P is jumping into Fierce-Tiger Uppercut as anti-air . Depending on the distance you are when they execute, as well as how deep you are, you’ll either have to parry 3 or 4 hits. In general, it’s better to just try to parry 4 hits because the extra parry won’t effect anything and you still get to jack them on the way down.
Other characters that have multi-hit anti-air moves are Ken’s Fierce DP (3 hits), Iori DP (3 hits), Kyo DP (2 hits). Those ones I know. I’m not sure about something like Athena’s Uppercut move though.
I have hit Sagat out of the fp Tiger Uppercut after a couple Air Parries before when I am sure that I should have gotten hit a few times before.
It’s possible to interrupt the DP after initial invincibility at the beginning with a normal? Never been brave enough to keep trying it. Natually, I know Air Parry -> Air high priority super you could do at any point while parrying it.
