Theres gotta be a way that allows the SNK grooves to be more kof-like without breaking the game. Hyper-hopping may be a little excessive, but wheres air CD or guard CD? Why landing recovery when you short-hop? N-groove should be BC mode from 2k2, and not just a power-up. Theres a lot they could do to buff up the other grooves, I’m just giving a couple examples for the SNK grooves. As for the characters, having SNK and Capcom work side by side should show good results. At least give them a say in their side of the cast

There is no middleground in with most Capcom-only fans so they’ll just want everything they’re way no matter what.

I like CvS2. A Lot. That being said…

It would have been really interesting if instead of making 6 hybrid grooves, they actually took each of the prominent play styles from each game and combined them into something that was cohesive. Like… give the SNK grooves (mainly the one based of KOF) normals cancelable into command normals. Or something to that effect.

I guess it’s not logistically possible to have so many different subsystems coded for each character. shrug

They are two totally different companies when it comes to fighting games and they don’t mix well at all.

I absolutely love my copy of SNKVSCAP2, and I would snatch up a SVSC3 in a heart beat even faster than a
MVSC3—which is actually what news I heard of first through the article posted up a while back at Destructoid.
