My only concern with that is the paint wearing off over time. You’d have to use a good quality automotive paint, clear coat several layers, and polish occasionally. Other than that, knock yourself out.
Metallic paint, the same they use for cars. Sand a little the balltop (very gently with fine grain) then apply paint. Put 2 layers of clear coat and you’re done.
Toodles - you won’t be happy about the UPCB. I still haven’t had time to hook it up. It’s sitting here with my Ryu stick waiting to be wired together.
The controller: you DON’T have my dreamcast controller???
That, and PLEASE don’t tell me you paid for a D20 top and I never gave it to you…I went through several very rough months there, but I thought I’d sent out everything that people had paid for.
??? No, I don’t have it. If you ever sent it, its news to me. I only remember ‘I need to ship it’ posts, and no ‘I shipped it’ messages
EDIT: Well, I dont remember ever getting it, but it wouldn’t be the first time my memory was shot. What color was it? Was it still in the outside plastic/usable state, or was it just the PCB? Did it have the six face buttons with C and Z, or just the normal four face buttons?
Sure thing. I did not pay you for any tops, you did not promise me any top, I did not order any top; you don’t owe me squat.
It would have been in it’s white casing with blue handles, six face buttons, and a programmable clear button. If you don’t have it I’ll go digging. In my mind I sent it to you (which means nothing…)
Was the dpad WAY fucked up, like broken off with just a little stubby in the middle? If so, I do indeed have it. I opened up a sister madCatz controller I had and found it had the same Xilinx chip in it. There are some other components, including a small spot covered in epoxy; I’m guessing it may do the analog to digitial conversion for the triggers and analog stick, but I wont know till I get some time with it with the oscope. Sorry 'bout the scare.
So how much for a big honking d20 ready to go on a stick? preferably black with white littering
