Starting up another Project-Failure wouldn’t really be too beneficial to CT. I’ve always been a firm believer that having too many tournaments in CT just hurts attendance. We don’t have enough people playing in CT to support a divide. It’s already a bitch to schedule stuff to not conflict with majors, mass and ny events and then what little days are available have to be split up between uprising and new challengers as well right now.
Bacardi’s setup is very legit, they have more setups than we did, although we had more stuff for flash/hype and I think once we started we used ALL our stations as effeciently as possible. But we weren’t a 1 man show trying to stream and run a tournament at the same time like Bacardi. He doesn’t have the luxury of making sure matches get finished and reported and having the next match already to go before its even done. I know how hard it can be when people don’t keep you informed. Also we didn’t have to worry about 6 games. When we started it was SF4 then later on Marvel as well. So reason for not combining with bacardi is well… shit is pretty far away from me lol and I dunno if I can dedicate 2hrs just in driving every sunday to hit up stratford, but other than man power I think bacardi has everthing pretty under control.

The best part about PF, for me, was the fact that it went on at night; on a night where most people didnt have work the next day.
Drinking beers + playing in a tournament was so much fun. Then you had the streaming setup with the large TV showing the shit that was going on on stream, the fact that it was run so well and matches were constantly being called/coordinated. screw ups were few and far between and it felt like CT actually had a tournament someone could actually brag about winning. The people coming up from NY/NJ and ppl coming down from MA just to join in on it added to how good it was. I think a combination of forces, along with a little bit of rebooting of walter’s tourneys would definitely be sick. The PF stream was definitely better than the dontblowthis stream. No offense to those guys, not putting them down at all. Their stream is definitely real good, just not on the PF level, imho.
Of course, Kyriptic would have to be on board with that and so would walter and a bunch of other peeps im sure. Im just fantasizing out loud here. dont mind me.
*ninja edit: Definitely not hating on Bacardi’s tournaments. Walter is the truth. Its just VERY hard for me to get to them because of when they are/where they are.
