Dude that plays Rock and Todo. He said he might not be able to go to cuz he doesn’t have a car so I offered to give him a ride. He is able to get to campus so it’s cool.

Yeah, hi, I’m Larry, the K-groover; SugaFree literally just told me about the SRK thread today which I didn’t even know existed, had to reg just now too for this. Wish I had a car, would make things a lot easier…still waiting on a $175 CC bill to pay off for parts to repair my good old desktop too, no money anywhere heh.

I’m down with AI, yeah; might be able to get a ride back home from there at least, or so I’m hoping…super strict Asian parents, no way they’d take me there just to play at a “dangerous” arcade but it’s a lot easier to convince them that we just finished late dinner at midnight or something lol. I live in Rosemead though, which might be on the way for some of you if it makes it easier.
Ron: When did you play at UCLA? I used to go to X-Cape in 03/04 and rarely ever saw anyone at the CVS2 machines, just a lot of Makoto players in 3S.

I know the days for comp at the Pitt are Mondays and Wednesdays, but is anybody going to be there tomorrow? Tomorrow being thursday for those who read this late. I have to go to CSULA tomorrow, so I’ll stop by the Pitt. If there’s no comp for CvS2, then I’ll be out. Since I’m already going to be there, I might as well check it out.
I’ll be there for about an hour tomorrow around 12:30. People usually do end up showing up, theres usually one or two people playing, but its pretty random, since as you said, its an off day.

As for a Gears 3 today… I don’t think Microsoft will have a press conference. They had the X10 show a few weeks ago so that can be considered the equivalent.
^ Epic has 2 announcements to make. One this afternoon around 2-3 pm and one tomorrow. It was 2 years ago at this same conference that Cliffy jumped out with a lancer announcing Gears2. So I’m still hopeful.

Anyone know who that Asian guy in the pit today was? He was using blanka, Honda and sagot. He pretty much destroyed me and was beating ron’s buddy almost every match, half the time by a good amount.

If they’re not okay with me being out that late chances are they’ll just pick me up earlier instead, around midnight if that’s the case. They’ve been down to that plaza to pick me up before when I was there for a friend’s birthday. Probably won’t know for sure how long I can stay out there until Monday or so. Main reason they don’t like arcades is because of a fight that broke out around here near the old arcade that used to be right next to where Van’s Bakery is right now on Valley Blvd. That was like 15 years ago though and they still have a “those places are for nothing but thugs and gangsters” mindset, go figure…not that I ever tell them anything that happens because if there’s one thing I’ve learned it’s that crazy parents always ALWAYS make things worse.
I never caught that other Asian guy’s name, but it’s the third, maybe fourth time I’ve seen him there. I tried S1945 like twice too, got to stage 3 both times on a quarter and didn’t want to go keep going. The out of order sign still on it? We moved it over from 2i (sound’s still cutting out on that BTW, but I don’t think anyone really cares except Christian).
