Good matches, gonna check some of Chaos’s setups in training mode. There’s more Akuma on the 2nd video after the 13:00 mark if anyone wants to watch too.
BTW why did you leave Akuma? Tired of his health and relying on mixups? You had a nice Akuma, Ryu’s even weaker in AE now where Akuma remained the same, even buffed a little bit (excluding the coward copter nerf). Please post more of the Akuma matches if you can even without commentary if you don’t have time for that.
I stopped because I eventually grew tired of playing a mixup based character. I feel like my defense is really bad so I’m not really improving my weaknesses by playing him. I might go back to him in AE if ryu turns out as bad as people say he is.
Ryu is fine in AE. People are really over-stating his changes. The only significant change to him is the tatsu nerf (which Akuma got hit with also) which forces people to get more creative with escaping or dealing with pressure situations. c.mk relegates it back to a sensible state compared with how Satan-like it was previously. His c.mp remains unchanged so far as I can tell, which is a badass normal also.
Akuma gained a little bit of ground in the Ryu / Akuma match-up in my opinion though.
