Hey All,

Sorry if I posted this in the wrong spot (not sure if I did), but I seriously need some kinda guidance on this one.

I have been playing SSF4AE2013 on my XBox360 since it first release. I have never experienced lag like I have within the past few weeks! Occasional lag is understandable, but at this point it has become such a hindrance for me and my game play. I have tried practically everything at this point; port-forwarding, disconnecting all other devices from my router, clearing my cache on my Xbox, etc. I don’t know what other options I have, but this is really frustrating for me being that I enjoy playing this game so much and am consistently getting kicked for having too much lag. Even if I go into a room where someone has 3 green bars, I still end up getting crazy lag within the match.

This is a speed test sample of my connection. Are these stats even good?

I really am open to all or any suggestions at this point. I don’t know what else to do but I am intensely frustrated. Please help!

You could be dropping packets as well. Try pingtest.net

Are you doing a wired (ethernet cable) or wireless set up.
And if wireless, what type of network are you using, A,B,G,N?

I tired the pingtest and get a B+ rating. I am only using a wired connection. I called up my ISP, and they said everything is fine on their end. Then I contacted Xbox, who ran me through a bunch of tests. I did the port-forwarding, the DMZ setup, etc. None of this seems to be working and people wont even battle me because of the lag! I don’t know what else to do right now but I know that this all happened out of no where and no one can give me a solution/answer on how to rectify this. What am I supposed to do!?

Your connection will only be as good as the player you are playing. If the player you connect to has problems with their internet. Your connection will be always lagged no matter how good your internet is.

Too many people on xlive are using wireless while their family members are watching youtube videos :). It was so much better when wireless adapters didn’t come with the console. People were forced to go wired cause they didn’t want to spend $99 for a wireless adapter LOL. Now I am sure 80 percent of people on xlive uses a wireless connection.

All you get now are hitching stuttering connections while playing which is sad.
