So I would love to play my PSP with a stick. I imported GG:XX and have SFA, Darkstalkers Chronicles, and of course T5:DR. Is there any way to hook a stick up to my PSP or even (gasp!) make a stick ONE with the PSP. Sure you couldn’t fit it into your pocket anymore but it would be cool as hell. I would buy another stick and a PSP for this.

Back in the day, I made a stick that hooked into a gameboy color so that I could play Alpha for the GBC. The only thing that you have to be aware of is that the solder points on portable comsumer electronics are much smaller than the pcbs on the normal pads that most people hack.

No clue if the PSP supports it, but it does have a USB port.

its doable have you seen the psp analog stick mod?
an addition to your idea would be to wire up a (15?) pin port at the bottom of your psp and from their either wire up your joystick
OR
make your stick proprietory and have a little docking mold so that you can rest your psp on the front end of your stick and it plugs into your stick and “stands” on it
but w/e
It’d be a bitch to find space for all 10 buttons.
theres the psp to tv mod which allows you to use a ps2 controls.

shouldnt be to hard to make a custom stick with some space to mount the docking station.
doesn’t look like it’ll be easy to hook up a DB15 port anywhere on the PSP. i think the USB host slot is the best way. i heard the PSP can use the USB slot to host stuff, i think the camera plugs in that way. if they get USB Pad drivers running on linux, i think we’ll be able to do it easily.
so what… people buy portable systems these days to play it on thier tvs?

it wasn’t a bad idea when Namco screwed over us Tekken players when bringing out DR on the PSP

I had similar mad plans too and was prepared to install two of the gizmos just to be able to play T5 DR without having to buy a cab. Discovering that versus play in T5 DR lags because of the wireless link ruined even that (other PSP games like GGXX/ do it too - stupid next generation confort). :annoy:

no. people are just looking for other ways to use their portable systems, especially since these are more than capable of being emulation machines. if you like bringing your xbox everywhere just to have all your emulation needs, fine, go ahead. i definitely wouldn’t want to do that if i could just take my psp.
Ya seriously i would like some help on this. Would be really awesome to be able to take this on a plane or anywhere for that matter. playing GG or t5:DR with a stick on the go would be pretty awesome! Or any of the MAME stuff.
