It’s unfortunate that President Trump preyed upon the American tendency to take the easy / fast solution, over the calculated approach. Preventative measures. Communicating clear and effective safety protocols (also obfuscated by the treacherous American “media”, it’s not honest to call the outlets of today news in the conventional sense when they’re so deep in unreliable partisan messaging). Who knew Street Fighter the Movie would turn out to be a prescient work of fiction?
This is such a shame.
Will the aftermath of this be too late for a moment of cultural introspection?

I’m having difficulty foreseeing a positive outcome from any of this, short of “declaring war on Covid-19”; redirecting the military budget to the citizenry to shore them up as non-essential workers stay home to limit the spread of virus, temporarily ban international travel, temporarily ban cross state travel, temporarily ban county to county travel, and we cut off the supply of new victims.

Well never fully shut down cuz of money, they care more about that than ppl. Which is why it’s so bad in this country.
Putting a halt to everything for about 3 months would do us a world of good but I don’t see it. Can’t even to get mofos to wear a mask so staying home outta the question

Yeah, pretty much.
Just need to keep my head down, continue taking preventative measures, and hope the estimates that April will be the watershed month for this mess.
I can’t wait to go back to making grocery runs without sanitizing and moving items to clean packaging, if needed that day. Otherwise I place shelf stable goods in two week quarantine. The ability to touch my face (scratch an itch, pull a hair out of my eye, roll some eye boogers) outside of my house. Isolating from friends and family to keep them safe. No longer sanitizing every surface and item I use at work at the start of the shift. The ability to go to a favorite local brewery, if they survive, to get the Hell out of the house and enjoy a different set of four walls.
My perceptions have become so deranged. I might even enjoy the laid back nature of my new gig, when I don’t have to be concerned with the low information reprobates I work with spreading.
On one hand, I do wish I put in the effort to find a significant other, or make a family of my own to confide in. On the other, that would possibly be more anxiety - but I’d like to assume folks that aren’t me aren’t total headcases, and could offer a different perspective.
