I am pretty new to marvel and have recently picked up storm. I know a lot of these questions have been answered but a lot of the answers are old/un clear.
Highest damage AC icluding dash?
Highest damage air combo and direction for la to ls? (no resets)
What is the common combo I see where storm launches and knocks them down into drones/re launches?
When starting a ground chain, what normal has the better speed/priority?
If I plan on trying a ground chain into launcher on start up, which normal would be the fastest?
After landing a tri jump lk, everyone goes into a crouching chain followed up by a standing launcher. This is a lot harder than it looks. Are standing attacks just not as good?
finally, the storm/sent dhc. Which ac should be used when cancelling out to sents HSF? Also, is there some kind of visual timing I can go by to get the dash/launch to always connect?
The highest damage AC including a dash I’ve seen midscreen is Launch, sj. hk xx ad f, ad. lk, ad. hk. On bigs, you can do, st. lk, st. lk, st. hk, sj. hk xx ad f, sj. lk, sj. hk too.
On everyone except for bigs, most people do, launch, sj. lk, sj. lk xx neutral la xx ls. On bigs, you should probably do the same one, and do two neutral la xx ls. I found that neutral usually nets the most damage on occaision.
Simplest relaunch combo I know is, st. lk + drones, st. lk, st. hk, sj. lk, sj. hk, drones hit, st. hk.
Do a normal jump tri jump, or do a sj tri jump hk, that way you can combo off of it.
You can cancel to HSF from any of her supers, just pause after the lightning storm. The pause is just a little after they drop from storm. It’s not too hard to cancel from hail, and if it misses you’re still in an favorable position.
actually her highest damage AC is her 5 fierce combo:
s.hk /\ hp, addf, hp, hk / hk
its difficult for a novice, but does the most damage and has good mixup opportunities after.
also her corner combo
s.hk /\ hk addf hk, s.lk, slp, s.hp, s.hk
her highest damage LA xx LS combo is launch, hp, addf, lk, lp, LA xx LS
there is no particular direction. just watch your opponent and do the LA in the direction of your opponent in regards to your character.
it doesnt really matter what moves you do to a launch, just make sure you do crouching attacks because you don’t want a standing attack to miss a crouching character.
as for the dhc, the timing alters depending on what combo you did and how many LA’s and what direction considering it brings oyu guys at different height. but typically theres just a slight delay (make sure the opponent is completely below storm). i’d say its quarter way between storm and where the top set of drones would be is when you’d want to dhc
If you’re going to attack (on the ground) when the match starts, use c.lp, but always use c.lk to start your combos with the exception of tri-jump starters.
and for the DHC into sentinel i find it easier to learn how to do it if u think about where sentinel is standing when he does his attack and let the character drop so that he is slightly above sents head so when u DHC into sent the opponent character drops a lil and then gets hit. and i think if ur going to mess up on the timing its better to do it later than earlier cuz then the opponent gets hit by at least one set and u can combo sorta
Storm’s c.lk and c.lp come out in the same number of frames, but it’s better to start with c.lp instead of c.lk when the match begins because c.lp can sometimes hit jumping opponents whereas c.lk will only hit an opponent who chooses to stay on the ground.
c.lp can be blocked in either standing or crouching position. c.lk can only be blocked in crouching position. Does that explain why you should start combos with c.lk?
