Cammy loses to Athena, so does Bison if played correctly. Blanka, Vega and Yama rape her for free though as can Honda.
Cammy loses horrible to Athena and RC Iori. Does badly against Seget.
Mai has trouble getting into throw range against Sagat.
Fans have good startup but huge recovery and you can only throw them if he’s full screen away. Otherwise, you’d be eating super. and if he’s full screen away, it’s pretty easy to avoid the fans. jumping/rolling is safe at that point.
And the same gameplan applies. He’ll walk up to you using standing lk, uppercut if you jump, and force you to the corner and try to keep you there. If you throw fans at that range, it’s likely you’ll eat a super. If the sagat player has good reaction time, then he’ll uppercut your attempts to runaway. If you do manage to get out of the corner then he just rinses and repeats.
For the same reason Sakura and Kyo do well against Sagat, they in turn fall down pretty hard against hibiki (and vega, i guess). Far reaching attacks above the waist really hurt them, and they get outpoked on the ground. They lack the forward mobility of a Blanka or Cammy or Bison. Predictable RC hurricane = counter xx super/CC.

Actually, Guile does pretty well against C/A Blanka. N/K Blanka have Low Jump, which is how N/K Blanka owns characters that are a pain for C/A Blanka. Like Guile, Hibiki, Vega, etc.
Crouch fierce from Athena beats all ground pokes and non-RC spiral arrows. It also beats pretty much all jump-ins and trades with dive kick. It even trades with LK cannon spike at max range

Press df alot, you will trade with her best pokes at best. Infact Athena’s cf will stuff Cammy’s sr. Its part of the reason I still play Athena and have been for acouple of years.
Eagle counters Blanka, thats fairly known now.
Joe counters Rog (Unless Rog has a lvl 3)
rog with lvl 3 vs any whiff = death

I stay out of range of Hibiki’s sword and throw different strength hadoukens. LP hadouken when I want the one with the least recovery. This is the last thing most Hibiki players expect you to do, since they figure they have qcf+HP and MPs so they assume they control the ground and automatically counter shotos.
What I’m looking for is:
-Random RC running slash
I roll through this and combo Hibiki from behind.
-A jump-in opportunity
Hibiki has like a LOT of recovery frames when she misses a qcf+LP/MP. Like 30 something…
-Hibiki to try and jump-in with j.HK x one million

It’s all about paying attention to your distancing. Oh, once you get on her, stay on her too. You don’t even need N-groove or anything. C-Ryu has d.MP, d.LP, j.MK, far s.HP, throw, and dash… all the tools he needs to keep the pressure on. Hop kick isn’t so great, as I’m pretty sure Hibiki can duck that though…
what are some common counter characters to shotos?

Geese doesn’t fair good against fast characters, I.E. cammy, chun, mai and so forth.
I’d say Dhalsim Vs chang is two sided if Sim zones chang its in his favor and if chang RTSD then it’s in his favor. ( It could be if anyone rushes sim down its one sided but anyhow)
I think sonic hurricans is just as fast if not faster than those 2.
If your Sagat is whiffing pokes out of range against someone who can super motion on reaction, it has nothing to do with Rog being good and a lot to do with you being a dumbass.
Maki can link her kick super off of s.lk, which is only +3 (I think…frame data on JustDefend is kinda whack :bluu:) . c.lk->s.lp->s.lk->level 3 kick super is like 7k damage. At ratio 1. Maki’s lanes of travel are really weird, so I’m sure she counters someone. Maybe Hibiki/Vega? I dunno. Rolento is better anyways.
Random supers don’t work. Except on Xbox.
