Hey, everyone. I’ve gotta leave here in a few minutes, and I’m new here, but I do want to shortly mention something here while I have time. If you have any questions for me about this, just leave a message here, I’ll hit the board again when I get back later…
What I want to mention is that starting probably at the beginning of next month (May) I’m gonna start/try to start hosting gaming tournaments here in Corpus at Gamer’s Den…now I know there is already someone hosting a few gaming tournies there (something like once every 4-6 months I think is what they told me) but, I’ve been looking into starting to host my own tournies and since I started hosting my Yu-Gi-Oh tournies there, and they told me about that other guy, I figured I could hold mine there too…I don’t have an official date on the first one just yet, but I know it’ll be in the first or second weekend of May (if everything goes well) Also not sure on prizes just yet, as it’s all still in the works. I’m fairly sure that admission will be $8 and the first tourny to be held is gonna be MvC2…now I noticed that this is a Corpus thread (suprised me to see anything about stuff going on in Corpus on Shoryuken.com ) so I hope this is the rigt place for me to talk about this.

When I talked to the main dude who owns Gamer’s Den about my June tournament, I think I was told about you.
He did say you were hosting a Yu-Gi-Oh tourny and wanted to add other games like 3S and shit (none card games).
If you can keep the scene going after I drop out, it would give me a reason to hit by corpus again, haha.

Sorry to hear that you’re leaving, but I still have my mind set on holding these tournies for as long as I can (got a couple of peeps helping with prizes and such, so it won’t be too hard to keep it up ) so don’t worry. I guess I WILL be keeping it alive in your stead :wgrin:
And as for the comment about not getting much love for MvC2, that is just ONE of the MANY tournies I plan to hold…further down the line I’ve got at LEAST 6 other non-card game tournies set:

I have more taht I want to do, but right now the problem I had been having is finding a way to promote these torunies…or to a higher extent, how/where to put up a sign-up sheet…then Robert told me that you use a forum board (or bulletin board as they put it) to talk about our tournies, so I FINALLY went ahead and did a search to see what I could find, and well ironically, it was a thread about your tourny anyway, would anyone have any other comments or questions or suggestions for me?
