Small chance I’ll be moving about a month after the tournament (to Ausin).
And Killy will for sure move out of Texas by then. And without Killy’s support, no way in hell ill get another +50 people to join again.
SSBM will start the earliest so I can get it out of the way, but will have no special treatment (like team tourny afterwords or whatever).
I was requested to have 3S do a 3v3.
If I do, the rules would be that you only have one chance (it wont be 2 out of 3 for matches) but it will be under double elimination.
And seeing as how the new Guilty Gear (Guilty Gear AC) is actually different, I might get more than 10 people to join this time around. GG:AC might have a team tournament also, but it would under 2v2 and sames rules as put under for 3S.
This time the schedules will be earlier than last times tournament.
I should have Melee starting around 2:00 pm, and 3s starting around 3:00pm.
And the other games go on from there.
If I’m guaranteed at least 2 Dreamcast with 2 copies of MvC2 (don’t care if there burned) then I’ll make an official notice that we will have a MvC2 tournament on the side along with GG:AC.

Team tournaments is fun, yeah Smash shouldnt get special treatment. Only reason why I had a team tourny for Smash at BATB was because I thought we would be able to have team tournaments for every game and well only Smash stepped up. DR flopped and i ran out of time to run a 3S and MVC2 one.
Team tournaments, for SF games that is, has always been your team loses once and thats it. Only Smash has that fag best 2 of 3 crap.
To ensure more people yes include Marvel but this is just a note. Most will not join more then marvel. There are more strictly marvel players down here then anything else minus a few who play multiple games competivelty along with marvel (me for fun, beef, shizuma, Nican,???). So just a heads up just cause you add marvel dont expect a boost in attendence for the other games. But to make up for venue costs yeah it would be a good idea assuming there is a reg fee.
A problem I had with marvel on multiple systems for BATB was lack of converters for non MAS users. I got really lucky and most of the marvel players had mas sticks so my single pair of converters didnt hurt that much, not sure how the CC scene is with types of sticks. It would of sucked had the only pair of converters I had been also the only station. Im sure people down here if you throw marvel would be willing to lend mas sticks or a random converter. If I show up Id be willing to lend a DC with mvc2 but Im not sure if im going so I cant promise anything.
Good luck with this shit. Not sure if Ill be attending. Im hard on cash and I gotta fix up my car but this is awhile away so I can see whats up. If I do randomly go IF i go you can count me in for just about everything cept GG and Smash. (is there an exact date for this yet? ill try to get my answer if im going or not towards the end of may)

C’mon, I’m not new to hosting tournaments :wasted: 
The only reason the last tournament that hit by did make me look like I didn’t know what I was doing was because I had to handle 50+ people all by myself. Making brackets were a bitch and I didn’t start getting help till the last minute.
I take most games seriously, but my main is Guilty Gear.
But just because I’m better at GG than any other game, don’t mean I don’t know the in-depth rules for other games.
And from the tournaments I’ve hosted, I know how the community works for the most part in perty much in all of Texas except for the north (I don’t hit Dallas much at all).
I’ll give an official date a few days after showdown.
After showdown will be a busy month for me but I’ll be able to give an exact date about 3 - 5 days after showdown.
With that said, I hope you can make it.
If not I’ll cry and post about it in a emo way on my MySpace account.

Ok as a 3s player and by the way Ive seen the corpus area I would recommend you do the team tourney a 2 vs 2.
It gives much more space for people to join
its hard to fin 3 man for a team
I think 2 vs 2 teams are better for 3s

I think the main debate for me at the moment is whether I should have 3v3 or 2v2 for the 3S team side tournament. And of course, I’d like to have it as big as possible.
With that being said, I’m gonna need help this time around.

3v3…For sure…if not then 2v2 best out of 3 =p. Cause im scrub…and ill count on my teamate to bring it home
I won’t know if I can go till at least mid May, if I do though I’d lend a helping hand no prob and id bring some stuff if you need anything. But once again wont know till later.
As for the team thing why not just wait and see how many peeps sign up for what game and then decide on the size of the teams by the number of entrants that want to play.

Well, by the time I start advertising, I’d like to point out if its a 2v2 or a 3v3 by the time of the tournament.
Chances are, if I get the same amount of people (or more as I did last time) there should be teams going on.

easy, its like lets say you get 24 people again if its 3 on 3
only 8 teams join, if its 2 on 2 , 12 teams join and the pot is bigger making the tourney more atractive
