Corkscrew Cross or Rolling Thunder?

So far the only match I absolutely need Rolling Thunder for is against Honda. Against every other character I feel like I would rather have the ability to get that little bit of extra damage in with Cork when I need it, than have a mediocre fireball punisher that doesn’t actually work against a few fireball characters.

Even against shotos. I already have duck, focus, and well spaced jump ins to get around fireballs just fine. So once I am in, I want to maximize the damage. I’ve managed to win a lot of rounds off of an EX Cross counter -> cork for the last bit of damage. Or just having it there for that final corner finisher after a crouching RH. As much as I like styling with a Dempsey roll, it really does feel like a sub par ultra except against Honda. Being able to punish headbutts with RT feels absolutely vital for the match.

CC all day for me. I actually want fireballers to chuck their plasma at me, making RT a big no-no. Fireballs I can handle. But when you get revenge meter and you got RT, your opponent stops shooting at you. And when you strip from their fireballs, they start poking. And if there’s one thing I can’t cope with when playing Dudley, it’s pokes. I’m free all day long, just hit me with your cr.mk, cr.mp or whatever, I WILL TAKE IT LIKE A MAN!
The endless list of CC combos is, of course, also a nice thing.

I’ve been using walk up a bit cr.lk , repeat with some succes against shoto low pokes.
