Converter Compatibility Thread

Have you tried plugging the wired xbox360 controller and ps2 controller in the converter then put the converter in after the 360 has loaded
Also is the switch set to xbox and not p3

Yes …

you may have one of the pcbs that require a higher voltage :frowning:

I’ve been using the blazepro adapters to use dualshock2 pads on 360, and I’ve noticed the adapters won’t accept a “light” L2/R2 button press, meaning you have the buttons pretty hard to get a LT/RT input. Does anyone know if this is the case with the xconverter, or could anyone that owns one test it?

Looks like X-gaming is rebranding the blazepro/focal adapter and is selling it at a pretty good price. Plus it ships in from the US.

Hi guys, frankly I have Madcatz fight stick TE and I’m moving to X360 to play SSFIV any idea if there is any adapter cuz it’s a bit pricey to have another TE -__-

psx digital on ps3 with 3.5 or 3.6 FW?

I have been reading Kyle’s posts but they seem to be before the updates that “disabled” many ps2 converters.

So I have my ps3 and as it stands now, on 3.6.

I have psx digital ( the grey ones with no analog sticks) which I am trying to get to work on my ps3 (to play SSF4) , and is my goal. I am aware that there are 2 types an H and an M, (not sure if this matters)… if you have more info please elaborate.

I am told the inPin conv at etokki.com will do the job but no actual confirmation.
I have bought a piii converter model 538 from eBay (not arrived yet). But if this fails. (if not will post back).

I’de like to know if anyone has tested a **digital PSX pad ** converters on a ps3 with at least 3.55 FW.

Thanks Peoplezes.

you din’t specify what system ur stick is for? either way check out etokki.com.

Hey reezy sorry my bad I’m ps3 owner I’ll check that out thnx

Reezy I looked at the site u gave and unfourtinatly I couldn’t seem to find any luck :frowning:

this right here Joytron Xconverter 360 Plus is for ps2 to 360.

Just got my b-day present from my fiancee in the mail. She ordered me 2 of the ps2 to 360 adapters from xgaming and they are definitely the focalprice adapter. They have the same wheel or controller switch and the headset port. They were $47 for two shipped and they showed up in 4 days. Much better than EMS shipping from china. I had also ordered a controller converter pro off of ebay about a week and a half ago, so once I get that in I’ll post up some lag comparisons for my xarcade dual stick, a dualshock 2, and a nubytech street fighter fightpad.

Looking for a PS2 to GCN converter that will work with the DDR pads. They aren’t mentioned in the first post and I thought I’d play it safe and ask.

Is there any reason to get an xconverter 360 over a blazepro? If so why and where is the best place to purchase from? I’m going to be using them for 2 custom p360 sticks made with ps1 dual shocks.

Anyone? I kinda need them.

I’m not 100% sure, but I’m fairly confident that the Cube JoyBox Pro works fine with DDR pads. You may want to look around on Google for DDR enthusiast sites and ask there instead. They’ll probably know more than we do about what converters are best for DDR considering how some converters can’t support opposing directions being pressed at the same time.

Functionally, they’re on equal footing. They’re both lagless and both require a wired 360 controller to hook up. The only downfall the BlazePro has is that unless you’ve got a button wired to the Analog button on your PS1 Dual Shock PCBs, you’ve got no access to the Guide button. The Xconverter 360 has a Guide button wired directly on the converter so even if your stick doesn’t have access to the Analog button, you can still access the Guide menu.

Ok so I guess I wont be accessing the guide menu but thats really not a big deal for me, as long as I can sign in, besides some games have easy access to invite friends by pressing x or whatever. Also I’m assuming it’s not possible to bring up the guide with the button on the wired controller like stated earlier in the thread? Anyway no big deal. If I need the guide that bad I’ll get one of the xconverters down the road.

Thanks for the info.

Thanks! I found this!

^^ Wow it does not require a wired 360 controller, AND performs well with no lag?

My joytron x-converter plus has always worked great, but it would have been nice to do without the wired 360 controller on the side.

Would i get nuff props if i put you out of you mysery and show the way of a usb controller on the ps2. The pcb does exist
