It’s postbank meta. Prebank meta is dumb as Fuck.
People are using specs pheromosa to great success right now so expect that opinion to change. I honestly do think tapu lele (more so psychic terrain) is the biggest problem in the OU meta and removing it makes the meta so much more enjoyable. Yes alola muk stops her but it’s more than just stopping her. Im trying to make reqs for this suspect test to vote no ban on genesect
You’re gonna need Terminator Bug around if you want this meta to not go full retard and have half the Dex banned by April.
So naturally, RIP Gene.
It’ll probably be banned. Meta is fun without it though so whatever. I want to see it without tapu lele running amok. Tapu lele is limiting as all hell though (pokemon who use priority to function are essentially unviable) and verdict out on pheramosa
Other than that. It’ll be fun
Tyrone, I’ll play you. I know your at the very bottom when it comes to skill on this board lol. Since I’ve been out of the loop for some years in pokemon and want to get back at it. I know it would be best start with the small fries first. The little fish lol.
I’ll never understand how someone with no results can talk so reckless… Not gonna even attempt to talk you off this ledge.
If you’re actually gonna play and not just run your mouth like usual, hit me up when you have a team.

Having no way to breed a Rapid Spin Tentacruel hurts my soul.Teambuilding prebank sucks, especially when you want to deviate from the norm.
Tell me about it. Wanted to build A team around E Speed Multiscale Dragonite to show these fools what The OG Dragon can do with those tools. So they can put some respeck on Dnite’s name. But nope can get Espeed Dnite currently. Nor Superpower.
I love how one mistake makes people rage quit. Like dudes can’t be bothered to tough it out and try to bounce back

I just started playing post bank OU. Its refreshing so far not seeing the same things on Every team. Yes there are still staples like fini and lando, but most teams are at least diverse.
What is interesting is Z moves are abundant prebank and seem to have died off post bank. The few I have seen them on is certain Heatrans and Lando to deal with certain Mons
Also smogoon needs to get on their shit. If they are gonna post a usage I need to see the Pokemon broken down into tiers on the team builder instead of having to type or search for a Mon (especially the newer ones I can’t remember).
Also…Thank you based god for Ash Greninja. I always LOVED greninja but being able to use the anime god greninja is nice. Also I must say I am surprised Megagross was so high. I guess being a steel type is a hod send in a meta loaded with Fairy deities.
I honestly expected top 5 to be
Toxapex
Greninja
Lando
Heatran
Scizor since those seem to be everywhere
Alright, so I am nowhere near ready to compete, so I gotta bow out of this tourney.

Hey I think I have a finalized team I want to make for singles.
Specs/Timid Jolteon Thunderbolt, Volt Switch, Hidden Power (ice), Shadowball
Scarfed/ Modest Salazzle Sludge Wave, Flamethower, Dragon Pulse, Hidden Power (ground)
Life Orb/ Jolly Weavile Icicle Crash, Ice Shard, Pursuit, Throat Chop
Leftovers/ Bold Vaporeon Scald, Wish, Protect, Roar
Leftovers/ Impish Skarmory Brave Bird, Roost, spikes, Taunt
Leftovers/ Adamant Tsareena, Trop Kick, U turn, Synthesis, Rapid Spin.
Any suggestions? I’ve been thinking of switching Salazzle for Gengar so I can have A spin blocker. But I see more folks using defog though.
How optimal is it to run two choice variants on a team now? Back then people seemed to be against it, but now I’m seeing it more and more. I guess with volt switch there are more opportunities for it to be practical.
If you can get your hands on timid tapu koko, use that over jolteo. Quite a bit stronger and fills the same role while having team support. Can run both uturn and volt switch for double the douchery. Can run brave bird to beat mega venusaur as well. Otherwise fine.
Scarf salazzle…idk, i despise this thing competitively. It’s very underwhelming. It also doubles up on what weavile is doing. Id change this for like, mega metagross or any other offensive mon
Throat chop is for what? Weavile really doesnt need extra coverage. Might as well run knock off if possible.
I dont mind vaporeon but i feel it’s out of place on this team. Gonna kill momentum. If you can nab tapu fini do that but if not it’s really fine. Im not sure what to replace. Maybe clefable?
Skarm is fine
Tsareena is okay. It’s just really outclassed by tapu bulu.

Yeah on A Volt Turn team it is pretty good. Because it allows you to not have to guess as much with switch ins and just let your choice pokemon safely switch in and do damage. Also people be sleeping on defensive volt switch or U turn pokes. My Tsareena gives my chocie pokemon so many free switch ins because due to her attacking last with U turn. She takes the hit that My Salazzle or Weavile would have taken. And now they can dish out good damage while staying healthy. And Vaporeon with that Wish support is lovely. I’m thinking about swapping salazzle for gengar because Gengar is still fast but has A lot more special attack so he’d hit harder. And be a more reliable check to the Tapu’s especially Lele. But then I’d lose fire coverage for steel types. I mean I could run HP fire but doesn’t hit as hard as a stab flamethower.
Momentum is what rules the game now. For better or worse.
Z moves are dumb
Fucking Troll team here. DDance T Wave Gyrados, with 2 other T wave users, and A Chansey with no attack moves.
