Bious’ punkass didn’t wanna tell me cause he knew I’d destroy him.
That’s kinda pointless though. Megas are even in the game Pre-bank so it makes no sense to me. I guess though. Gotta find a replacement to Mega Gyarados if that is the case.
Vgc isnt allowing megas so bious wanted to kinda replicate that
So wait is this gonna be done VGC?
Hey in ya opinion which move is better for incineroar? Darkest Lariate or Throat Chop? I’m leaning towards throat Chop because it can shut down things like Roar phazers, or Heal bell support. While Darkest lariate really just means it can hit through defensive buffs. I seldom see reflect and I don’t think anyone uses defense boosting moves like Irob defense or anything.
Also some ideas I had for Ininceroar.
A set using Flame charge, U-turn and sword dance
A choice band set for going a Dark Move for Leech Life because they near the same coverage, and it’ll keep Incineroar healthy
Incineroar is pretty solid overall. Base 95 hp and base 90 def along with base 115 atk. Respectable bulk and can hit. Hel even special atk is usable if you want to surprise your foe. If only this dude had Sucker Punch man. Why he doesn’t have it I’ll never understand. Gets fake out though.
Depends on what’s giving you more trouble. If you want maximize dmg output DL is slightly more powerful than TC, and it hits harder than Chip Away which does the same thing.
In despite not having the new gen games yet.
Then how are you gonna play?
Incineroar does more damage on paper than does in battle. I slapped him on my team and he’s by far the most dead weight and does not tank many hits even with an assault vest. Honestly, I wouldn’t try to play the starters competitively @BB_Hoody
Except Primerina, she’s pretty good.
In on the thread not tournament lol
Incineroar needs Intimidate, tbh.
He can switch in on a Lele or Oranguru. He nicely tells Marowak to fuck off, but still, with an Assault Vest, Lele can 2HKO him with just a Life Orb.
I’ve been trying to find ways to take care of lead Oranguru - Scyther or Krookodile Z-Move are about all I can come up with.
Incineroar wants more speed. He’s too slow to make the most outta his bulk with common weaknesses being a fire type.
I see potential in Incineroar so I still want to try other sets and ideas and see what works with him or what niche he could fill. And yes Intimidate is a must with him. When will that ability become available?
He’s a Trick Room version of Arcanine, or he will be when Intimidate is legal.
Run him Brave natured and Malicious Moonsault the fuck out of people (like Oranguru).
What makes Oranguru such a problem? I’m not really hip to competitive 7th gen yet. Almost have the main game complete and will be jumping in soon.
It’s bulky as fuck, and is base 60 speed, making it a great Trick Room setter.
It’s normal/psychic so you can’t use Ghost-Type moves on it.
But the biggest thing is Instruct. It lets the target use the same again - so, you can effectively double Earthquake,/Rock Slide/Surf/Hyper Voice, etc. It basically acts as a fifth move slot.
I’ve won several games by leading Oranguru/Krookodile and double EQing the enemy leads. Usually kills at least one, even if they switch.
Oranguru gets Telepathy, so it won’t be damaged by your teams spread moves like EQ or Discharge.
But, this is all about the doubles format. In singles it’s a pretty shit mon tbh.
Is 6v6 singles truly dead now? Most of my team ideas revolve around that format.
I hated GF for implementing that Team Preview option, took the surprise factor away. Gen 5 fucked a lot of things up.
It’s not dead on Shit, er, Showdown, but it might as well be. On cart, PvP matches can be done 6v6, but there are no official rating battles for that or anything.
I’d say make teams for both formats. Why limit yourself to just one? In the case of Incineroar and Oranguru. Maybe Incineroar can find a role as a anti lead in doubles? Taunt enemy Oranguru or Choice banded Dark Attack? Also in regards to speed there is Flame charge. Come in on a slow defensive poke, taunt it, then flame charge. Whatever switches in you’ll likely now outspeed it. Then if you have the right coverage move smack it down or U turn out of there.
I think it’ll make a good anti-lead in doubles, yeah. It’s like a bulkier alternative to Krookodile or Gyarados (it has more Def than Gyara, and only 10 less SpDef)
The fire-typing is a problem defensively, though.
I mean, if you think your opponent will lead with Oranguru/Torkoal, or Alolawak, for example, it’s pretty solid there due to typing, and it’ll be even better when it gets Intimidate.
