Hello Dan mainers,

At Community Tierlist - overview you can see a brand new dynamic tierlist which is a combined effort of all people on the SRK character forums.

The goal of this web application is to get all people who main a certain character to give their opinion on that character matchups, and then to combine all that data in one overall list.
The idea worked pretty well when performed by the Rose forum (http://shoryuken.com/f277/rose-mis-fortunes-rose-match-up-poll-263465/), most users reached a consensus and Rose got a nice analysis that ranked her around 13th to 17th place, on par with the latest opinions on her by American and Japanese top players.

If all character forums take a small effort to go vote on their character we will get:

[] a per character average of matchups
[] a community-generated tierlist
[] a cross-matchup view on each matchup (as for example Dan vs Ryu will be ranked both in Dan view as in Ryu view)
[] and when enough data is provided: a statistical view on contested matchups, on agreed upon matchups and more!

Because this list is open, and inputs are sensitive I took a few measure to get better results:

[] You need to provide the forumcode of you character to validate your vote (provided here), so that you can’t simply click around and vote on anything you want
[*] The extreme votes are removed statistically (10% lowest and 10% highest are discounted)

well, it’s annoying but the statistics will start filtering this out after at least 10 votes have been registered. If they troll harder I will have to remove the votes by IP address then.
This always happens, it’s the internet.

Anyway, Im just being realistic. Dans the best, so they just made certain characters better in this game to compensate for Saikyo, or something or rather.

I thought the trolling was obvious… and while there are slight differences in how each of us view the matchups, I think we’ve got a general consensus of what’s bad and what’s good.

I think the only character Dan has an advantage over is Hakan and it’s not by a lot. Rest range from even to ~7:3 against Dan but it’s really too hard to come up with exact figures.

I think Dan’s got some advantages and major disadvantages where others would be surprised.

I’m going either with hakan or fuerte. Those fuerte players are scared of HK Dankuu. Both ultras can’t counter it. Except at the end of the animation

Backrun > Tostada Press would like a word with you. Any HK.Danku at range loses on reaction.

On wakeup, EX Vagitas gets them out… A Fuerte that actually knows the matchup has options. While we have option selects to catch EX reversals, Fuerte has as many options as any legitimate character without a DP… They just don’t know it.

I say it’s 5-5 when both know the matchup… 8-2 is a huge fucking stretch. Way too huge.

As for Hakan, he has pokes, he’s safe at range for LK Oil, and he has two very potent Ultras, which limits Dan’s shenanigans. About as safe to pressure as Fuerte on wakeup, but he still has tools to fend off Dan, provided he knows what he’s doing.

It sounds like you’ve been playing waaaay too many baddies. :\
