I wear Birkenstocks or Chacos in the summer, hiking boots in the winter. I’m one of those people that like to have shoes on inside, and I’ll usually wear whatever I put on in the morning. Though, if it’s hot and I have my boots on I’ll change into my sandals when I get home.

I mostly wear some simple slipper for tile/hardwood surface, and go barefoot in the carpeted areas.
I could go barefoot;more often I use slippers to prevent any possible scrape or stepping on some minute objects.

I love my Chacos! You can hike in them, and if you have to cross water you can just stomp right through. Very comfortable and durable.
