Want to let everyone know that PowerUp 2011 pre-registration is now mandatory. If you don’t pre-register you won’t be allowed to play in official PU2011 tournaments. We’re doing this so brackets can be made and posted pre-event, making things run smoother for everyone. Hope to see you all there!

just got off the road and am back living in columbus. i live maybe three min walk from zenos on michigan. used to go there alot when they were hush about smoking inside after the ban.i have a ps3 and te stick. games are tek 6, mvc3, soul cal4. also if anyone ever needs to crash somewhere after zenos, since i am so close, it’s not a problem. right now tryin to get hired by hostess for one of their delivery routes but i should be able to make most wed night. i also have a copy of ps2 guilty gearx2 somewhere so if people still play that i can look for it. might be in cleveland though.

Attention all Columbus SSFIV players! I’d like to have a Columbus representative on the Ohio Team for the PowerUp 2011 SSFIV 5v5 exhibition.

It will work like this: Team Michigan and Team Illinois duke it out in the SSFIV 5v5 exhibition for the title of best SSFIV scene in the Midwest. They are the two most generally recognized scenes, so we’re having them fight for the crown at first. Then Team Ohio challenges the losing team. If Team Ohio beats the losing team, then Team Ohio gets to challenge the winner of the exhibition. Wanted to make the SSFIV exhibition less drawn out than last year, but still show some love to the Ohio players.

Anyway, right now I’m looking for one representative from Columbus who fulfills two criteria: best at SSFIV in the area, and is attending PU2011. So come to a conclusion amongst yourselves, preferably based upon tournament records.

The format of the exhibition is still being decided upon. Though what I’d like to see happen is a round robin between Michigan and Illinois with each matchup consisting of one game, best 2/3 rounds. The Team Ohio matches would then be SBO style with each matchup consisting of one game, best 2/3 rounds.
