Let’s not spread misinformation. All items were stolen at this tourney, Playing to W1n’s hard drive was stolen here too and not at another tournament.

The guy that was in the process of stealing the wii said “oh i didn’t mean to grab this one” and set it down and hurriedly walked out of the place. This is when we started keeping tabs on people and looking for that guy. Osirun was probably more surprised that it happened and didn’t think to stop him. It’s not like we can physically restrain someone, either.

These guys likely weren’t even part of the tournament–they probably saw a flyer in columbus and came with the intent to steal.

Lastly, it really sucks that people got their stuff stolen, but everyone has a good amount of personal responsibility when they come to tournaments. Keep your stuff labeled and in your possession as much as you can, and if you can’t, please give it to your friend or have someone keep an eye on it.

Wish my first reply to this thread could be shoutouts, but hey that’s life.

Stephen, no one stole your screwdriver set, you left it at MOMOs. I’ll check with Brent to see what became of it. I think it’s still there, safe in a cabinet or in the garage.

As for everyone, please refrain from any kind of accusations or negative posts. Everything is being looked at as I type this (MOMOs has security cameras).

If you had something stolen, please PM me about it first and we can at the very least attempt to rectify the situation through the proper channels.

It’s sad that we have to deal with this sort of thing, but that’s reality. I hope everyone had a great time at the tournament in spite of all this.

PR Balrog - Congrats on your win in Super. Once again. I am SO sorry for dropping that chair. I know you were in pain and that’s never good. I just tried to avoid you after that cause I didn’t wanna remind you of it lol. But again. My bad.

If you steal you lose in real life real talk. Fortunately our community in the midwest is pretty good about that, but you know it only takes one to fuck it up. If you’re one of those people, do us a favor and stop showing up to tournaments. Go rob a 7-11 or something.

I had a good time playing 3s all day, there was a really good turnout. Thanks to the organizers and everyone who helped out for a really fun event.

Yeah, Jason, if you can get any info for me on that viewlix lemme know. I mean they’re pretty big and it was in the middle of the Marvel area so I’m surprised someone was able to get out with it that easy. Oh well.

Blasty/Dandy are godlike for being so enthusiastic about running tournaments. Even if people bitch about this and that and of course problems come up, these guys really care about the tourney scene and making sure everyone has a good time. I’m really glad that they’re doing Season’s Beatings with Fugee and I this year because without them it would not be happening, period, in 2011.

3s crew (Adam, Mario, Lewis, Spensor, Mr. Gone) – GGs guys, glad to see the support for this game still. Glad I got to play so much 3s cos I don’t really play anything anymore :slight_smile: BEER MATCHES are 100% more hype than “pride” matches or whatever the fuck, lol

Lewis – you def have continued to improve man. I can tell you learned that in 3s JUST BLOCKING instead of random parries = more overall success. GS not getting mixed up by 50/50 bullshit. We’ll run it back, that’s two in a row you got me.

Rest of the Indy crew – Dave – thanks for playing so much man, it was awesome. I miss we all lived closer to get this 3s/ST on. Yun SA2!!! Brent – O BISON huh??? I wish we could have played more ST but gs beating my ass in casuals

PR Rog – GGs in ST, congrats on winning SSF4 man. Enjoy that paycheck.

Jake – GS in Marvel – I’m glad you beat me in our 3rd Marvel game on the stream honestly – I have no prob beating you with lame keepaway but I don’t really wanna beat you cos you fucked up and AC’d Sent in and I AHVB 75% of his life. Plus your match with VDO was the best shit of the tourney

If beer matches will keep you playing Marvel so be it – let’s do it next time, I’m always down for putting something on the line and even though you were def rusty you are still gdlk

Tim/Nick – thanks for doing UMK, and thanks Nick again for working so hard on the Supergun.

Being on the mic post 3s-beer-matches was good times with Juan/Jason/Brent. Thankfully Bar Battles is not caring about getting sponsors so just bullshitting is the way to go. We aren’t getting paid to run events or commentate and Josh Q really stepped up to help them out and run the stream, so anyone who had a problem with him, me, or anyone on the mic –

When we’re getting paid as TOs/commentators I’ll shine my shoes, wear a tie and be sure to bottle up my actual opinions. Until then I respect Brent/Jason and their tournament attitude and how the stream is 2nd to actually running these things for the attendants. We love the community and that’s why we’re all in this, and I hope that comes across!

So good shit to Brent/Jason again! Sorry to everyone I missed. Tourney was a lot of fun and I’m super happy I actually got to mostly chill and just play games.

I was at our monthly that day :slight_smile: If they decided after all not to do it then fine. I was just asking Banana Ken since I thought he would be the MVP from this event but he had no clue about it so I thought I would ask. I apologize for only being able to make it out to 2 tournaments a month and twice a week for casuals between Chicago and Milwaukee. Maybe next time instead of supporting my local event I’ll just ditch and go out to Ohio, since obviously that make more sense for me rather than staying close and participating in games I actually play.

Honkey#1: Anthony, most impressive Tekken play on Saturday my good sir, but ur a jerk 4 playing 2 of the best characters in the game w/ using Bob & Bryan. Haha. I’m just playing my good sir. Ur Tekken was on point & u definately deserved that 1st place 4 sure. Mad props 2ya bro. Hopefully next time around we get 2 play some Tekken & congrats once again Anthony.

Hai: Always a solid job u do in playing Tekken my good sir. Like I said in the MI thread, ur were gonna head in & kick my ass this tourney & u did. I’m not a liar am I? So that’s very nicely done u proved me right my good sir. Haha. Good shit on getting 2nd & good shit on kicking my ass & making myself ashamed in my play b/c it was garbage against ya Hai. I wasn’t ready, so back 2 the lab I go.

Joshimitsu: It was awesome that u could make it down here 4 some Tekken Joe & it was fun playing some Tekken against ya again. Ur Steve & Hwoarang were playing really fuckin’ solid on Saturday, so mad props 2ya indeed. Also, good job on kicking my ass w/ Hwaorang. U locked me down, I couldn’t get out, & I got my ass beat b/c I’m garbage 4 not knowing my shit & not having my technical game down 4 getting myself outta those situations. Thank u 4 that. I’ll be in the lab doing some studying on that 2.

Tuch Dis: Very cool 2 meet u Rame & always glad 2 see another Capo player in the mix. It’s always fun getting 2 play another Capo & see how they play & what kinds of shinanigans they rock out. I was most impressed my good sir & I definately liked a lot of the things u were doing w/ Christie, so mad props indeed. I also liked the b3,3 goodness u can pull on a back turned opponent, very nice 4 sure. Hella fun chillin’ w/ya & getting some Tekken in.

Perfect Legend: Always fun getting in some Tekken against ya bro & chillin’ w/ya my good sir. Good stuff on rocking out some beer @ Momos as well. If I didn’t have 2 drive home that night, I would have done the same thing. Lol. Good choice on the beer & good talking some beer w/ya as well. If u get the chance & like imports as much as I do, try out Newcastle 4 sure. U won’t be disappointed.

Derrick Legend: Good times playing ya as always in Tekken my good sir & always hella hype going 2 tournies w/ya bro. “I know u overslept.” Yes I did my brother. Lmao. So…picking u up @ 9am goes 2 picking u up @ about 11am. No biggie, right!? Haha. Anywho, great playing Tekken as always against ya & good shit w/ Julia. We need 2 play more Derrick, so let go of that SSF4 for a bit & play some more Tekken w/ me @ AL damnit. Lol.

Trickster: Good shit during the tournament Frankie & nice stuff u were doing w/ Miguel & Dragonuv. Sucks we didn’t get 2 play this time around though, but I cya @ AL all the time, so we’ll get some Tekken in 4 sure sometime soon. I was glad u were able 2 roll through w/ us, so I guess it was kind of a good thing that I wound up leaving late anywho. Lol.

Sdogs: Always cool seeing ya @ these tournies Troy. The next time around, I’m gonna make it a point 2 get some games in against each other since we haven’t played the past 2 or 3 tournaments we’ve both been @. Haha. Good stuff as always w/ rockin’ out Alisa, Baek, & Christie my good sir.

Arkayne: My brother from another mother! Lol. I’m glad u were able 2 head out on 4 this tourney my good sir since I know u’ve been busy w/ other shit as of late. Always fun getting some Tekken in against ya. I know, I’m a jerk 4 playing u during the tourney, I know. Lol. Hope u can make it 2 AL more often & get some Tekken in.

The Kiest: Definately cool as always chillin’ w/ya Kyle & getting some Tekken in. I think we played about 2 hours of casuals there my good sir. Gotta love it getting that much Tekken in. Lol. I was definately impressed w/ how patient u were playing & even more impressed on how u were applying my advice w/ those Lee pokes. Good shit eh!?

Ailerus: I’m glad 2 cya getting more & more in2 Tekken bro & good shit on rockin’ out Asuka. She can be a lot of fun. U were definately doing some good things when I saw u play, but I think a bit more practice will get u ready & prepped 2 do some decent damage in these tournies. I’ll make it a point 2 get u leveled up even more & train up w/ ya a lot @ AL 2 get u there. U were doing some good shit 4 sure & I know u have the potential 2 play this game well, so I’ll do my best 2 help ya out as much as I can bro.

Slayer: Thank u once again 4 letting me crash @ ur place the night b4 2 make it easier 2 pick every1 up 4 the tourney. Drunk Tekken the night b4 was hella fun, but damn is it not a good thing when u have 2 wake ur happy ass up early the next day. Haha.

Diego: Always good 2 chill w/ya bro & glad u were able 2 head up 2 this tourney. I made damn sure no1 was stealing anyone’s shit (I was around the Tekken setups the whole night), so if any1 was gonna fuck up & try some jank shit, they would have 2 deal w/ the wrath of the Sluch. :bgrin:

i gotta go back and listen to the commentary cuz i bet it’s hilarious… my highlights were fighting Inthul, (like fighting a pack of wolves with ADD i tell ya) doing the powerup podcast, and everyone spazzing out at the end of the night when Wolfkrone wanted his penalty round… i can’t wait til the boards erupt on that… i hate when people apparently steal shit, i have no qualms about leaving my stuf anywhere at tournaments and i never have to worry about it coming up missing until i hear about some bastard jacking stuff

my shoutouts are kinda incomplete but it was a hell of a good time i can say that, good job running that shit as smooth as it went everyone… Blasty is the king of the mic and aptly named no doubt and Dandy J certainly know how to run a show with no screwups

Thanks to everyone who came out! I hate to forget people in shoutouts so I’ll try to keep it short.

First of all, thanks to all MOMOs staff for their support and killer venue. Letting us come in early was a huge help! Best venue we could ask for.

Thanks to my partner in crime Brent Blasty! lol. Couldn’t do any of this without you bro. Not only are you a real get shit done guy, you are one of the most passionate people in the fighting game community, and of course the #1 best commentator in the universe!

Jacob, you don’t use the internet but thanks for helping me out with singups and everything else!

Fugee, thanks for all your help with MOMOs and getting players out. You are and always will be a huge influence on the Ohio scene and we couldn’t do what we’re doing now without your presence.

Chris, you were a huge help all around, setting up, equipment, on the stream, and just great to have around in general. I’m pretty pumped about these upcoming tournaments! Not without some break time of course, haha. BTW your stick issue is being looked into by a man in a room with a lot of video footage.
