Though it is unfortunate that Blazblue didn’t happen at our local ( again ) it is nice that it had such a good turnout. I would say let’s work to make sure that the next one was just as fun and sucessful, but it seems that David isn’t running them, anymore. I don’t have what it takes to run those kinds of things, so unless someome steps up, then… that was it.

Thank you everyone for the comments. We’ve currently got two venues to work with, which is way better than what we had to work with a year ago. If anyone wants to start hosting tournaments at Game Nation or Maddness Gaming, I’d call them up and get something going.

This is a day late but get at me I had more pressing matters to attend to that kept me occupied most of sunday. Besides this is cola, thats just how we do.
First off, thnx goes to jag for hosting the tournies for as long as he did. If it wasn’t for the tournies and his hospitality i wouldn’t be part of this scene. Thnx to Justin for bringing along KOF13. After getting a chance to play it my hopes for that game went up a little bit. And also, gg’s to Lay-Z and Cassius for the BB casuals. I had a lot of fun and learned a little bit about 2 characters that i dont really get to play against.

Hey fellas wanted to post and let you guys know that I had a good time hangin out on Saturday for the tournament at Game Nation. It was good to see new and old faces again while getting beat down in the process! It was cool to see how much the scene had grown with Columbia having two venues for tournaments now. I look forward to getting the chance to play more and support the scene whenever I can get the time. Now time for some shout outs:

@ Jaguar: Bro, I gotta say that I’ve been incredibly impressed with the way that you’ve handled the scene in setting up and running tournaments since I’ve left! You have done a great job with pulling everyone together and hosting casuals as well. I’m thankful for how you took on the responsibility to see the Columbia scene grow and I think you should be given much props for that! Much respect for your efforts and those who have helped you in the process. I know you’re gonna step down from organizing tournaments but I guess sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. I just wanted to let you know that your efforts haven’t been unnoticed.
@ Kidviper: Thanks for the messages and letting me know what’s been going on while I’ve been away. It was cool being able to get an update with the scene while at the same time havin you reach out to a brotha. I will definitely try to find some time to come to casuals so we can get some games in.
@ Simplekiss: Hey man it was good getting the chance to catch up and see what’s been going on with ya and letting you know what’s been going on with me as well! One thing I’ll say to you is this, you’ve been loyal and played with Fei since Vanilla and now that he’s top three you decide to drop? Nah brah, I think you ought to drop E.Ryu and go back to ya boy! Just think two years ago when we talked about Fei, we would’ve never thought that two years later that he would be top tier! Use him!!
@ Kevin Bacon: Lol, when I first heard about your name I gotta admit I got quite a laugh out of it. Anyway, good to see your Viper is still on point! Enjoyed the talks we were able to get in and the matches we played (ggs btw). Thanks for the comments on Saturday I appreciate it (thanks to you also Simplekiss). Hopefully we’ll get the chance to play again soon and I can get some more Yun practice in!
@ Dr. Hat: Hey man I know we didn’t talk too much while at the tournament, but it was still cool being able to catch up and see what’s been going on with you and your boy Vega (lol, apparently not too much). But hopefully next time we’re both around we can catch more then.
Lastly, I’m gonna try and post more now that I’m working on coming back to playing in tournaments again and casuals. But if anything, I’ll always been lurkin!

U-VOLT, WHAT’S GOOD MAN!? The fam is doing well thanks for asking! It’s been pretty hectic lately with a 14 month old boy running all over the da place. But all in all we’re doing good and just trying to hang in there. Next time you and the wifey come down let me know so we can get up! How much longer do you have with school in Ohio?

Also, the that follow replay feature on AE is pretty awesome. I watched a couple of good players and learn new tech for my characters - Made me realized how much I haven’t been doing. I probably watched the replay channel for about an hour before playing RoAWZ the rest of the night.
EDIT: I was watching SFxT vids of Julia and she kind of reminds me of Yun in AE with her should rush and has Yang’s DP. Can you say two herps in one derp?

the biggest issue with Julia in that game right now is her walk speed…i really hope they improve it because a character like her with that kind of walk speed doesnt appeal to me and i would like to use her if i pick it up.
Im also waiting to see if Lei gets added into the cast…i could see him being a nice counter to zoners if they incorporate his stances properly (for example, im wondering if they’d let Lei’s panther stance go completely under fireballs but u still cant block mid/high attacks)…hopefully the movement involved with the stances would also stay intact…and he’d have a legit walk speed to work with…lets see if Capcom can deliver.
I ought to make another special trip to Columbia and show you boys and ?girls? how to play Mortal Kombat…
