Thanks to everyone for coming out today. We were suppose to be streaming SSFIV, KOF and BBCS but it seems like KOF had too much hype. I’m also mad that King was OCV’ing teams and Hinako had that Honda herp derp going on.
I saw Vice counter someone yet still lose. Alas. She wasn’t giving out enough hugs either.
Lol there was only one person there that actually played KoF and that was drhat. All of my experience stems from previous KoF games. I was churning like a mofo for that ultra and it came out. Didn’t expect to win ( nor do I ever use Vice. ) I stuck with Kula and Mary most of the night. I had fun, though… it’s nice to play other games every once in a while.
@Awardtour: You’re not gonna lose to King doing one move, anymore. Right? I feel bad -for- you.
It’s cool, I’m just messing. Plus, your Mary and Kula were looking decent it’s just figuring out a good third. Or fourth in case you know someone mains a character who hard counterpicks half your team. To be honest, I really need to beef up my Vice since some people won’t be putting up with the zoning nonsense from the rest of my team.
Kula in 2002Un… they took so much away from her. It’s either that, or I got too attached to XI Kula. Combos I knew with her didn’t work because either 2002 was always like that, or in that Unlimited, they nerfed the shit out of her. As for Blue Mary, when I used to play the game more seriously, I only used her against people that I knew didn’t know what she did. I never really tried to be good with her… but who knows! Maybe I will, now.
If I were to go with Kula and Mary, I’d definitely need something more… what’s the word I’m looking for… powerful in there? Someone with some Zoning capabilities? Hmm… Perhaps even Maxima… if I can even remember how to use him.
On another note, I forgot just how much I dislike Robert.
From what I understand, Kula is very good in this game. She got nice buffs from 02 to UM. She’s probably my best character ATM. You should be abusing that far B, and using the qcb B as much as possible. Rememer to hit confirm qcb B into f+d, and then juggle with dp+C for pretty good damage. It also carries to the corner well. Use D for your jump ins, and that also works as an instant overhead if you hop back D during pressure strings. A good combo off lows that gives you a knockdown is cr. B, cr. B, st. B, d/f B. The corner combo I use is st.C(2 hits), qcf A, qcb B, dp C. You can also juggle off qcf A into her qcf x2 A/C SDM in that corner combo. Anyways, just remember to abuse that far B, and that it’s cancelable too. Don’t be too predictable though…
Also, try out K’…he may fit what you’re looking for :).

Yo, last nights casuals were fun. KoF was pretty hype, mainly because most of us didnt know wtf we were doing. Dwains team street fighter was so bullshit, that is until he lost to the zoning powers of King. The King OCV is at the 1hr 19min mark. I start playing at the 1hr 05min mark.

If I remember correctly (Shiki is much more knowledgeable so could probably confirm/deny) her Freeze Execution super comes out in one frame. Good for punishing whiffs or trolling people with chip damage if they are low life since it’s full screen. What’s interesting is that I think either Diana or Kula can be hit to interrupt it. Something weird happened once when I was fighting her so it probably needs testing.
As U-Volt suggested, you could pick K’. Rushdown, carries to corner, a projectile, and a teleport. But hey, the beauty of the game is the number of options available.
