@ Thomas: I’ll take your suggestion today and just play Tao in casuals. I’m sure I’ll learn when to use combos faster, when having to run away from Valk and Makoto all day (inserts generic shounen level up episodes pun ala D.Gray-man). Until I prove otherwise, I acknowledge both you and Ben as better players than me.

@jag, In my opinion, for now, i think it would be best just to learn a couple basic combos first and then focus the rest of your time with tao on learning her mixups. I think because of the way Tao as a character works, Her neutral game is very important, understanding and implementing all her mix ups atm i think is more important then getting her 4k+ combo down. Granted you won’t be winning much b/c you would be lacking in damage a little, but i think you’ll be able to see your openings much better this way. Just meditating and thinking about her options can help alot also. Since your at work and all, that is something you could do. (study study) lol.

I’ll be coming out of my man-cave today and showing up for casuals. After spending some time in the lab i think i found a non-squishy character to finally put on my team that doesnt feel awkward for me.
@ Kimchi: The very FIRST thing I’m trying to learn with Tao is how to implement her taunt loop combos and then practice a few simple non taunt combos to get familiar with her drives. She’s got a lot of feints and cross-ups, so it’s definitely different than what I’m use to in a character. My comfort zone has been completely blown up, so it’s a bit…interesting right now…lol.

Edit: I’ve also ordered a octo gate for my stick. Playing Tao on Thomas’ arcade stick felt much better than with my square gate.
I’m down for some casuals but I’ll need that ride if anyone wants to volunteer

Good games to everyone today. Had some great sessions with Tao and friendly casuals with Noel for a bit to prevent myself from burning out. I’ve still got a long ways to go, before I get decent playing Tao.
I’ve also scheduled our next tournament for April 2nd, since we’ve got so many events and FR going on in March. I’ll probably see you all again this Saturday…Got family coming in from Thursday to Saturday morning.
gg’s indeed. I had an amusing time testing out my 2hr Taskmaster against keyon and zacks sentinnel border squad. With a little effort i should be able to get my team across that ocean and into Italy in no time. I WILL NOT BE KEPT OUT!!! And shout outs to keyon’s phoenix getting blown up by full screen demon. 
Lol you got phoenix that time. I’m gonna make sure I kill him first next time. Also noone gets into Italy without a passport.
Unimpressed with my performance last night. Bad night was a bad night. Everyone has one. With Jared around and rights to a PS3, I shall return to hyperbolic. Can’t afford that funk at Final Round and certainly not have it become an everyday thing. The amount of combos I dropped in addition to how many times I put myself on auto pilot was just ridiculous.

@ Usagi: Well all have off days, so I wouldn’t stress it. When you say “rights to a ps3” does that mean you’ve got one at your house right now? If so, you can take your copy of BBCS back to practice with and I’ll get my 360 version back. I don’t need my profile to practice Tao or Noel.
@ AwardTour: Did you ever get a response, in regard to upgrading your room to a suite?
No, Jared brought his PS3 and his copy of blaz, that’s what I mean. Since he’s basically gonna be over here everyday, I’ll have a system to practice on without having to rely on others. :3 That doesn’t mean that I won’t be coming out for casuals or anything.
@Thomas: Cool, now you can get some practice on the PS3. I called microsoft on my lunch break and got my email/password for my XBL account. I’ll be downloading everything back again today. Do you still wanna borrow the 360 for practice? If not, I’ll keep it to download the Jill/Shuma and play Perfect Dark when we’re bored. I’ll have casuals today, if you wanna come by after 7pm. Otherwise, I won’t see you guys until Saturday. I was gonna practice by myself, but I always enjoy having company.
