Speaking of which, there is a slight possibility I might run some casuals tonight, but it would be mostly TVC with maybe some SF4 on the side. My PC is always open for SF4 casuals, and as of last night, BB:CS casuals. If anyone is interested, hit me up…it would be around 9pm tonight if I’m able to.

hey guys just to let everyone know we are having a winter weather warning tonight, it is snowing now and about 2am tonight that is expected to start sleeting and turn to ice, and then around 6am back to snow going through tommorow night. I just wanted to let everyone know that it may be postponed if power is lost or the roads are closed. please check back in the morning before you leave to make sure this is still on. i will post updates in the tournament forum. I am hoping we will still be going on as planned but i dont want to have anybody get hurt trying to travel either. I will keep you all up to date on this.

OK going back to the ranbats:

I made an observation during the last one during casuals. Some people seemed too timid to cut into some of the more marathon play sessions going on between 2 players. Was thinking maybe it would be a good idea to agree on a kind of courtesy rule to let everybody get a turn.

How about u get up to 3-5 matches against one person before you have to turn around and ask if someone else wants to jump in. No takers= go another set then repeat.

set winner has option to stay or to volunteer seat until “dethrowned”. It’s first to 3 or 5, not best of.

What do u guys think? I know there were some shy players there and we want to include them so they feel welcomed and that they can play too, not just the regulars like myself who aren’t afraid to walk up and say “ok i got next”.

lol it ain’t like asking your first crush out on a date or anything… But seriously, at final round last year it was pretty much 2/3 then loser got up unless there was noone to take their spot…

Meanwhile…on the Bushido side of town, I’m trying my hardest to get more youngsters like myself interested in competitive gaming. I think it is beginning to work. We had a Tekken 6 ranbat today in the Competitive Gaming Club that I lead at my school and even though it was 8 people, more showed up afterwards and were interested in playing. Next Tuesday is the SF4 ranbat and there are many people who would like to enter. DarkSylux and I are working real hard to raise interest in our school and we have you guys to thank for that.

One thing I noticed in some of the overseas videos, some players sit down and play for two losses, then dip. Meaning once they’ve lost a total of two times, they move on. I like this way because while 2/3 is nice and all and rewards consistency, it doesn’t allow anyone to really get to experience anything aside from the dude stomping face.

Sorry guys but i just got the word from the Hwy patrol and they said the roads are coated in ice and are going to get worse as the day. This just isnt worth people getting hurt over. and even if people got to greenville the chances of them getting back home safe are low. if this was just snow it would be no problem but being ice and snow it is going to be undrivable. i hope everyone understands this postponement and i will have another date ASAP.

Yea, the ranbats are on that date. The 27th would be cool, if you wanted the tourney on a weekend again. It will also help fill in the two week gap between the fourth and last ranbat of the season.

that is a ranbat date. 2/27 is free and like after final round but that might not be a good idea cuz everybody might be broke. the last three ranbats are on the 2/6,2/20,3/6. the snow pull a tak move on you and delay your tourney. hope you find a decent date. oh yeah stop talking shit about cola and we’ll prereg next time.

Hah glad I checked whether reports last night almost made trip this morning to the beat down. So the forum draws to a close anyone know when the next one is going to be up or what its name is going to be.

Man I am mad I didn’t notice that u-volt was having casuals I would have been there again I dont have a wii but I find TvC way to much fun. I have decided the team I like the most is Karas and Tekkaman Blade.
