Meanwhile…on the Bushido side of town, I’m trying my hardest to get more youngsters like myself interested in competitive gaming. I think it is beginning to work. We had a Tekken 6 ranbat today in the Competitive Gaming Club that I lead at my school and even though it was 8 people, more showed up afterwards and were interested in playing. Next Tuesday is the SF4 ranbat and there are many people who would like to enter. DarkSylux and I are working real hard to raise interest in our school and we have you guys to thank for that.

On a side note…FT50 pt2 : Tak’s revenge (??) takes place this Friday…sometime in the afternoon…stipulation involves a swap of sticks, with my goal of beating Tak’s count of 28 (ultimate goal is to win it all obviously).
Place your bets…can Tak redeem himself? Can he prevent me from beating his original count? or will he fall into shambles a 2nd time to Lord Byron, Mr. Reeeeeeal himself…stay tuned :rock:

I’m a regular viewer of that youtube channel, but somehow missed this. It seems you and I have a lot in common, at least on the MMA tip. Just FYI, I order all the UFC ppv’s and watch all the Strikeforce, WEC, Dream, etc. cards too…so if any of those ever fall on a night where your in town from a tourney, hit me up. I used to keep up with it every time Ari put up a new video, but got really busy with school and other stuff when he started putting up a lot more videos more often O_O
I can’t wait for this semester to be over so I can train again. I’ve been out since May due to knee surgery, and as soon as I was cleared to come back, I sprained my ankle really bad playing volleyball (who played Jr Olympics? This guy! c(’.'c)). As soon as that healed, finals were coming up. Now my current schedule keeps me from being able to train due to time conflicts. I can’t wait for May to roll around so I can get back in full time. I wish he still had his original gym because it was muuuuch closer and they had muay Thai + judo. There’s a guy here @ CofC who’s won of the purple belts trying to get a bjj, judo, wrestling club together. I’ve actually got to e-mail him. Thanks for reminding me! =P
I usually work Saturdays, but I can get those days off sometimes (NEVER Friday. Damn food & bev! D:<). We used to all roll to the events together here, but I’m not a fan of big crowds and small bathrooms >.>

Yea that’s why I started just getting them at the house, and having a few friends come over and chip in. Small bathrooms, big crowds, and douches in Affliction shirts = not a good time.
There’s a Gracie-Barra school here in Columbia that I’ve checked out. It seems real cool, but pretty pricey. I recently got new boxing gear, so I was thinking about finding out what a good boxing gym is here lately. I still enjoy BJJ more than anything else though, but no-gi primarily. I’m not a fan of being choked out with fabric :wasted:.

just a quick note if you are comming to gvegas this weekend, part of 385 from colombia is closed. the detour is through spartanburg which will ad about 15 minutes to your travel time. The way you come is 26 to 85 toward atlanta turn on 385 in greenville toward simpsonville Take exit 27, turn left at end of ramp back over 385, go to second traffic light. At intersection, see us attached to the “Pumpers” gas station on the right. shouldnt affect things too much. Tak since you are from Greenville do you know a better way?

The school y’all got in Cola is supposed to be one of the better ones. Haven’t checked it out yet myself. Guy here trained under Relson. We get charged $89 a month, and classes are M-F @ 1pm (gi + no gi) & 7:30 (gi MWF, no gi TTh).
I prefer no gi, but I’m buying one soon because… well, why not learn with the gi also? Broaden my horizons and all that =P
Haven’t been watching lately tbh. Joe & Dana need to quit doing what Dana accused boxing promoters of doing (putting together fights nobody cares about + controversial decisions). Cecil Peoples should never be allowed to work in any type of combative sport again.
