Columbia,SC: Going in Strong

I seen you there, too. I greeted to I believe.
I played SFIV(why on PS3, WHY!?) and SSBB.

OK, first of all, GigaDuke and Optimus are real. They have been sighted. lol. Good to meet both of you guys.

Xavier, I told you we should have called our team “Xavier Save Us!”. lol. Seriously though, I didn’t play badly in any match I played in my defense. I had 2 Blanka vs Blanka matches, which are very hard, and almost won both of those (1 came down to both of us Ultraing at the same time and hitting each other, but his came out on top). The Ryu player we played was awesome, he was the guy who knocked me out of winners SF4.

The tourney was pretty awesome. That Sf4 finals on the big projector was freaking epic!!! Battle Walrus vs Jibbo was hilarious and intense. They tried toying with Battle Walrus by picking all these different characters and BR had to fight some hostility but he just downloaded Jibbo and pretty much every character he played he got wrecked. It was amazing.

Keyon, your Blazblue was amazing. I sat there during finals with my mouth hanging open in disbelief. … then Arakune gets a combo which takes 3/4 of your life in one combo… and now I HATE that character.

Eric (ScNinjaBoy) First of all, your Rose is no joke. It is sooo tricky to play against. But I didn’t get to see your Tekken until finals and I was in awe. You pretty much wrecked your opponent the first 3 sets and then he kinda came back to it being slightly more even but you were still obviously the better player. He just kept trying to land the same combo over and over and the room was even making fun of him for it.

There was a lot that went right with this tourney. It has tremendous potential to be the tourney. But there were some things, some very very simple and obvious things, that would make the tourney sooo much better. I will, if you guys want it, give my feedback so that we can get the few simple things corrected to make this thing truly shine. Overall though, great job guys! It was a great tourney and you guys were great hosts.

Rodney, please post the feedback that you PM’d me. I pretty much agree with you 100%

I didn’t like having separate rooms for everything. It would have been ok to have BB/SF4/Tekken in the big room and then Smash in a separate room. I only say this because the majority of Smash players were there for Smash, and the majority of SF players were playing Tekken/BB.

The winner card system was obnoxious. They should have just installed the Tio tournament organizer on each computer in the classrooms.

I was I am Tekken today and saw this: http://www.youtube.com/user/LevelUpYourGame#p/u/4/L3DT6-oOZro

saw this it was really informative for a tekken noob like me.

btw e-clap to gakman for running a fun but alittle long tourney. We all make mistake the first time. We’ll just improve and make it better next time.

OMG! Go to iplaywinner.com

check out the Good Morning, Mr. Masters vid I posted up there! LOL!

Justin, I don’t know if posting it is necessary. I’m just collecting feedback from other organizers and I’m going to give it directly to the peeps who organized this one. Trust me, they will take all of this into account and the next one will be SOO much better, because the changes are SOOOO simple!

I’m kinda mad I missed the tournament, and I didn’t get to play that other Hakumen player from Myrtle Beach. Also mad I coudln’t rep my Fei Long I spent so much time working on. Oh well, more tournaments in the future to be had!

Good shit though, I bet playing against Jibbo was hype shit. S’ok if there were tourney hiccups, there usually are.

Fuck work. :frowning:

December 19th! Myrtle Beach SF4/BB/T6 singles and teams. Pre-register now!

Simplekiss: here’s your chance!

Thanks for all the props guys. My internet is off at the moment. Using the library which kinda sux. I had a blast at the tourney. The sf4 and bb finals were really epic and i have mad respect for those guys. Paul Z’s Alisa was really good, and its a hard fight for ling because alisa crushes low attacks really well. That took out a large part of my offense. Would love to get some casuals going sometime soon, but its gonna be really hard for me to set anything up with no internet. U volt if u want tekken tips i’d be glad to help. I don’t have ur number anymore tho. If u still have mine or u wanna message it to me we can set something up.

Thank Rodney, I easily pointed you out cause your 360 avatar was a exact mirror. Epic.

Jibbo was there?! I wanted to meet him! he must have came later on that night.
I left about 6:45 after Tsu and Don Kim put me away.
I had a mild headache and crashed at some local fam’s house till the Sunday morning to hit the road for Barnwell(for those who don’t know filldoh).

I just signed on

Hi I just signed on how do I set up my avatar pics and post my gamertags

Hey fellas,

had a good time at the tournament and causals at my place on Friday night. I just wanted to say how we really need to spend more time together having causals if we wanna compete more in the southeast. I spoke to the NC and Augusta guys and they get together more consistently throughout the week than we do. What can we do to play more together? Can’t we have a casuals night once a week or something or do we want to continue getting together about once every 3 weeks or before a big tournament? We just need something to where we can get together to help challenge each other. Is anyone interested, I know final round is coming up so we should probably be getting together to prepare for that anyway.

Also on another subject, a buddy of mine is lettin me hang onto his Xbox for the next several months. If you guys could add a brotha that would be cool. My XBL gamer tag is:HiTekSaint
The only games that I have right now are Streetfighter 2 HD Remix. But I’ll work on adding some other games to that list within the next couple of days.

And for those who are getting Modern Warfare 2, is anyone getting it for PS3? I’m going to be playing it all night tonite when I get home. And most of the day tomorrow as well. I’m off tomorrow because of Veterans Day.

Man that shit was hilarious that you couldnt name any town close to you. I was thinking “does he have a car?”

It was good to meet you though man, also good to meet the rest of the crew in cola, i hope to see you guys at greenville for our next event.
I also found out that if you dont play SF4 for several weeks at SF4 your skills go to shit. This is really a game because of all the links required that you have to keep playing, That is by far the lowest finish i have had at a sf4 tournament. Shame on me for thinking i could go to a touranment cold and be ok. good shit to Avatar and Xavier for kicking my ass back to reality.

Unfortunately, all of december I’m going back to my hometown in Missouri. Gotta spend time with the Old Man. He’s balding and they miss me back home. I’ll be out like the last 3 weeks of decemeber.

Tournaments are not as easy to set up if you don’t have a place that provides the equipment. I wish we had a place like that.

Everyone, I am looking to buy as many CRTs as I can find. If you are selling one or see one for cheap somewhere let me know. If I can stack up on them then half the battle will be done. Just got to find a way to get more systems.

Phil you are just trying to do too much, buying the Tv’s is a good idea because that is the hardest thing to bring but Reach out to the community for the equipment. If you had everything in one room you wouldnt have to worry so much about shit getting stolen and this would make things much easier.

When i started doing these i tried to do it all myself as well and it ended up kicking my ass, reach out and i am sure cola will lend a hand.

good luck.

LOL! I know, right? Every town I mention was of no use to your ears.
I has a whip, btw. :bgrin:
I surely didn’t come there on a horse n’ carriage.

One things’s for sure. People have a distrust for anything not a CRT at a tourney. I tried to tell people that the monitor I brought had the same specs as the Asus “Evo monitor” but you just can’t convince anyone lol.

We need to collect CRTs. Luckily for us, in this age of high def, prices on those CRTs, especially used, should be very low (comparatively).

I’m going to see if there’s a local place I can pay to have my monitor pro-tested for input lag as well.

Rodney: I’ve played on your monitor, no lag whatsoever.

I hate playing on shitty dark 19" CRTs where I can’t even see things.

hi just got on I play 360 and ps3 curently playing modern warfare 2 on 360 and have tekken 6 on ps3 any one got some quick tips for either
