Ohh…you know Ky coming…don’t even worry bout that…I’ll give you what you want…
Shohaib and Shekeib, do you still need the ride from the airport? Get in touch.
My Jam Is Waiting For You To Kick Her Ass!!!
texas showdown 6 to-nite mother fuckers
Good luck to everyone going to TS6! Give’em hell, I hope to hear good news!
Good luck, and remind Paul to use the disposable I got him.
Yea…Rep MO down there…I also hope to hear good news…
oops.
I want to play tonight, who wants to play tonight
I need to find a bad ass picture of Anji for my avatar
I like Anji too…I was playin him yesterday and he is better…I like the fact how you RC Shin and fall and follow up with a combo…and it takes so much life…I might see you next Saturday or Sunday…
Damn I almost qualified out of my pool. I played Yun and went 3-2 (or 4-2??). The guy that went undefeated played Hugo. He had to switch when he lost his first match to me and then beat me with Twelve! I also lost to an Alex player. I heard Marneto had to only win 1 match to qualify since no one in his pool showed up.
Oh yeah, Jon is WAY COOLER than all of you guys
Gamepads suck. I need to get around to fixing my HRAP…
Do any of you guys have a bunch of Ibuki vids lying around for some reason, all I have is Aruka owning one of the Gamer’s Vision tourneys and I used to have another Aruka OCV from an old co-op cup. I need more shit.
old
No doubt!
He gave us rides, and he was nice about everything
He was cool.
He laughed in the beginning of his sentences and the first few words of whatever he was going to say, didn’t make any sense, which was awesome.
His Potemkin was better than that other dude from PoLaNeTo ZeLo. Even though others might not think it is, It was.
**Thanks Jon, you keep on keeping on. **
Hope CPL goes well for you.
Texas Showdown was not all I was hoping it to be. I think some of my disapointment comes from me getting nervous whenever I played my round robins but aside that, the tourney still kinda ran pretty badly. I came to Texas Showdown thinking of all the casuals I could get in, not just the tournament, because I’m looking to get some good experience at these tournaments, not try to win money. The lack of casuals I had really made me have a bad experience. If they had some more TV’s set up for casuals (especially during that god awful CVS2) the tournament would have been 10 times better in my opinion. The hotel was ass, the Monday morning me and Sho woke up, I walked into the bathroom, and I see a fucking 4 inch mother fucking cockroach next to the faucet. My heart rate went from 50 bpm to 150. The hotel was pretty shitty, but I thought it did allright until I saw that huge bastard bitch. Then that fuckin thing ran away and went behind the mirror. Fuck that shit, I’m never staying at a shitty hotel again. All in all, I went to TS6 looking for a mini EVO and I didn’t get it, so I was disappointed, but with meeting Jon, going to Planet Zero, and just being around 3s and the fighting game scence, I was happy with the trip in total.
Planet Zero was really cool, the prices were kinda extreme but idk if you guys noticed how nice that place was, like, I’d take a girl to that arcade and I wouldn’t feel embarassed. If you guys didn’t notice, that had some really great design and all that shit isn’t cheap, It’s a really nice place, the best arcade I’ve ever been to. I guess most fighing gamers really don’t care about what the place looks like, but only care about the games, but you gotta appreciate how top quality of an arcade it was. The sticks were all working perfectly, I couldn’t find anything wrong with that place that the management could have fixed. I mean, isn’t it damn expensive in Japan too? Idk about you guys but I’d support that place as much as I could, even if I have to drop a dollar to play some Third Shizzle.
That cold green tea we bought from Planet Zero was one of the most refreshing drinks I’ve ever had, well worth $1.65 for a can. Ok, maybe $1.65 is too damn much for some tea, but either way, it was damn refreshing.
That Chinese Place had some damn good food. I mean, I’m a beast whenever I eat good food, thats why I was done so early. The language barrier and the conversation with the waitress was priceless.
On another topic…
SHOHAIB IS USING SMILEY FACES IN HIS POSTS!!!
HIS DICK MUST BE SHRINKING!!!
(Man, I’m never gonna stop giving him shit for this one.)
On a side note, some new Korean kid is in one of my classes. He’s from New York and plays MVC2 and some CVS2. Idk if he’s good but he picks Magneto, Storm, and Guile I think.
He has to input a code to get guile though.
Josh, please refrain from spitting on him cause I know you hate Koreans.
…Fucknuggets, I need some Taco Bell.
PEACE!!!
Post up about TS6 and your thoughts on it.
I don’t have much to say about TS6 because I basically wasn’t there. I went to the Slash tourney, they started late but it wasn’t entirely their fault and they kept it running much faster than most tournaments. Kensou’s color commentary for Brokuto no Ken was great.
If I’d actually entered #R I probably would have been sort of pissed, finals were still going on until after my flight arrived back in MO… and after the two-hour drive home from St. Louis. It looks like they bit off more than they could chew or something, I’m not really going to criticize because I’ve run a tournament before and I can see where everything can go wrong – I’m still going back to TS7 next year. Realistically, I could go to a tournament that bombs out and gets cancelled and still have a good time because I just go for the casual anyway.
The highlight of the tournament for me honestly had nothing to do with the tournament and that was hanging out with Jon again… so no comment I guess. Planet Zero was pretty cool, but it’s not as cool as my pipe-dream arcade Too bad I’ll never get a business loan.
Yeah I had thought about how you could bring nongamers in and they wouldn’t feel completely out of place, which is amazing especially since it is a fighting gamers’ arcade. I was really impressed with the place, and prolly would play there as well…although I just wouldn’t be able to play as often as I do, but not really a big deal.
You should totally bring the new guy around for games…I wonder if he has any interest in 3S or GGS? Mags and Storm are top tier, and I hear Guile isn’t bad but I have no clue how that team works out unless he’s just using Guile for AA assist.
On the subject of the tourney, I totally have to agree with Andrew. I was considering not even going to Texas, but the fact Jon was going to be there clinched it for me. While the tourney was a letdown overall, just hanging out with Jon on Friday and Saturday and then kickin it with you guys Sunday was great times…doing something other than just playing games is hella fun sometimes, and it was awesome to get most of the Columbia fighting game contingent together for some shenanigans.
PS. On a side note, I did post up my opinions on TS6 in the comprehensive results thread, page 1, so if you guys care check there cause I’m too lazy to copy + paste
welcome back

If I’m not mistaken it’s somewhere in Florida…
Jon is a good-for-nothing turncoat who left Columbia for Austin. His hobbies include betrayal and regicide.

No, but seriously, do you guys wanna play video games this weekend?
And by “video games” I strictly mean Halo2 and nothing else.
Hey whats Jon’s number, I have some questions about Nero Burning DVD thingy.
Nvm, I just realized i still have it on my Cellphone from TX6
I’m down for some Halo 2.
Just post details or something, or I’ll call around. My usual weekend schedule (after 4 PM both days) still applies.
