Whoa dude, your Ibuki kicks ass, I think you’re really good and everytime we play you get so much better. I said this before, but if I lost to your Ibuki in a tournament, I’d be fine with it cause I think you’re a good player.
Ibuki, IMO, is one of the hardest characters to play in 3s and you do it way better than I probably ever would have. Like if I tried to pick up Ibuki and learn her, I don’t think I would be nearly as good as you.
Once you start pickin up stuff in 3s, it gets a lot easier. Shit man, remember when I first moved here and got my ass whooped by Josh for free? I just played more and tried some new things and I’ve gotten a lot better. It’s not like I’m good, I just played some more and got better.
Its like an unconsious thing in 3s, you don’t really know you are getting better, but somehow you start doing things right and you just get better. Fuck, you give a person with an IQ of 70 a stick and beastly competition, he’ll be parryin supers in no time.
That was my motivational speech for this year, don’t expect another one for a while.

Shekeib, thanks, it’s not that I really do think I just somehow “can’t” get good at 3S, but you know I’ve never been enthusiastic about the game and I can’t force myself to play it. You guys keep getting better because you actually play, but I haven’t improved significantly in a long time… and I don’t think I want to. If other games magically made me better at Third Strike I’d still play it a bunch
Why is the all-nighter on a Tuesday? You realize that like, a lot of people who would come from STL (me, Matt, Andy, Nick, maybe Steve and Atrice) won’t be able to make it if you hold this thing on a weekday, right?
Especially me because I work overnights. So if you guys do this and I would’ve been bringing people with me, then you suck (Josh, change it. :sad:)
Simon - The TOURNEY and hookup that Chicago and STL and everyone’s planning on attending is July 29th. This all-nighter freeplay night at Gunther’s is an entirely different thing.
