shekeib is right george, pick ken, he’s kinda the best charcter in the game because he has got a little of everything, in other words he is the most well-rounded. He’s also THE BEST starter character, which is one of your problems, you try to play the whole cast and you don’t even have your fundamentals down yet.

what’s this low tier martyr shit? I play the whole cast because I get bored w/ charcters, I like the challenge, and because I CAN ACTUALLY PLAY THE WHOLE CAST(some characters better than others, ST, 3S, not GG). Andrew/Aaron can do the same thing in guilty. To me the challenge is more fun than the victory. The victory w/ a challenge is even sweeter. Yes, when it’s tournament time all that victory shit goes out the window :bgrin:. Also playing one character w/ two moves is BORING AS ALL HELL … to me …coughchuncough.

I wasn’t talking about you, dude. You own me at 3S, there’s no way I’d get all self-righteous about how you play it. Look around on SRK and dustloop and shit, 95% of people who play low tier characters are whiny attention whores. It’s fucking annoying.
I’m totally with you on challenge being more fun than winning, which is a big part of why I like GG – every character has a ton of complicated crap you can learn, regardless of whether they’re the worst character in the game or the best. It’s also what I don’t like about 3S, because it’s this intricate well-designed fighting game with two or three really overpowering gimmicks that aren’t fun to do (Geneijin, Chun, etc). I don’t like the dogmatic SRK “play to win at all times no matter what” mentality, not because it’s wrong (it isn’t) but because a lot of people see that and think “oh, so find what works and don’t try any harder than that until I stop winning.” Stupid.
People always link scrubs to that sirlin.net “Playing to Win, part 1” article, but no one ever seems to show this one off:

but in the old games like hyper fighting i actually block ( i dont why lol )
Agreed, she’s not literally as simple as low MK or kara throw but she’s so safe and there’s no imbalance to her guessing games (her throw is a sick knockdown and it doesn’t matter of she does low-only or high-only parry, she can hit-check into half life regardless). I don’t really mind losing to Chun but she’s superior to the other characters for a really stupid reason and I think it’s a huge flaw in the game. It’s the same problem A3 has with Sakura and Akuma in my opinion, it’s those stupid no-tradeoff Capcom mixups.
