I plan on buying a SFAC stick because I kind of want to get a new stick, and my friends get mad that they have to play on pad and I get my Namco stick, and I was wondering if anyone has ever seen this thing: http://arcademx.com/product_info.php?cPath=22&products_id=158
Believe it or not, I think I have and if it’s what I’m thinking of you probably want to stay away from it. Namco sticks are really nice, I don’t really know of anything else that’s as good… if you’re used to playing with the stick in your lap and not on some kind of flat surface in front of you like a table or chair, I’d stay away from the SFAC stick too. The thing is enormous and bulky. I think Josh can vouch for me here 
My favorite stock stick is the HRAP1, but they’re so expensive… and both of mine are broken again

i feel mixed about namco stick. they are niec size, and durable as hell… but definitely a lot less responsive (both the stick and buttons) compared to hrap. and it’s really tough to feel the edges on whatever restrictor they have in there. it just feels “mushy”.
Oh yeah, I totally agree. But compared to pretty much everything else sub-HRAP I think it’s better. The only other small Hori stick I like better is the Soul Calibur 2, and those are basically all cashed by now…

Some random thoughts leading up to my return to CoMo in two weeks here before i go to work.

What are the odds of us getting some of this footage recorded? If there is one thing that would help me out immensely it would be being able to rewatch my stupidity over and over and learning how to correct it. I’ve never had more than one or two matches from any given tourney get recorded, and it doesn’t make for much of a sample size.

I need you guys to be ON MY ASS constantly about staying in a good mood and not getting discouraged. This is step one in my attempt to make a final run at a real finish at Evo. It’s also my first real gathering since all the bullshit that kept me mopey and not posting on here threw me for a loop. Don’t let me be a whiney ass at all, criticize my play, give commentary and ideas on how to make me improve, but don’t let me sit there and get pissy when I inevitably get a 10 streak dropped on my dome.

Okay, right now I have an Namco and SFAC Pad, thinking of getting a SFAC stick that is at a local store, or trying to get lucky off of a good stick on ebay.
Is there a way you can test the SFAC stick out before you commit? Some people really like those, so maybe it’d be fine for you.
And yeah, Travis, I can at least videotape the matches for you.
