I’m off to my host family again tomorrow so I might be scarce on the Internet for the rest of the month. Funny story, the university I’m going to costs twice what we thought it did… but MU financial aid thought it cost twice what we thought, so it accidentally worked out. File that one under dumb luck I guess.
Once September comes I’ll be moving into the dorm at JCMU where supposedly they have Internets so I can stalk this thread and snoop around in everyone’s business again.
I’ll be an hour or so from a-cho by train so if I start showing up in videos… well you guys can be as shocked as I’ll be.

Man, I give up. There are just no good match vids of SC4 yet. Raphael is retarded (B,B for great victory) and Mitsu has ridiculous oki. :arazz: So far, I am liking Siegfried over Nightmare, but I can see Siegfried having some seriously bad match-ups with his lack of safe, viable moves. Hilde is so completely non-intuitive with as little flow as I have ever seen in a fighter that she just makes me want to learn her even more.
Lack of serious 8wr blows along with the removal of a useful backward GI. Wtf, were they thinking? :lame:

Hopefully the arcade in town will get SF4 soon, they have the newest VF, AC, Sengoku Basara X and a bunch of relatively new stuff so I think it’ll happen eventually. If not… there’s always a-cho.
I was reading up on SRK and apparently Chun has some way stupid shit I didn’t know about, I guess she’s just destined to be good in everything these days. She’s supposed to be broken in Tatsunoko too… what was the last game where she was legitimately bad? World Warrior?

Basically, backwards GI places your opponent in a face down position on the ground slightly off axis from you. This is awesome if your character has crazy oki cough Mistu cough but for most characters it is a poor set-up option. Forward GI works like it always did. Maybe they didn’t want a safe, catch-all GI with decent set-up properties? :rolleyes:

Fought the best Ivy player I’ve ever seen yesterday online, and he beat me like a rented mule. He was throwing out SS and CS like no tomorrow, in constant motion, switching stances all the time. I wish to hell I could remember his gamertag; I’d love to go up against him again.
So take heart! Not every online player uses the same 3 moves over and over again!

The little beat I screwed around with Astaroth at Pat’s house I found him to be alot better and not nearly as unsafe. Perhaps we can all get together this weekend (Friday or Saturday) to get some games in. I have yet to see any solid Siegfried vids.
