I was expecting to get owned, but man it:s impossible. I:ll get them down to 10% and they go oh OK no problem and come back with some huge 90% combo. It:s harder than fighting them in America was even, maybe I just got worse at the game by not playing.
I can figure it out though, I think I know what I:m doing wrong.

I know you will. As long as you know what’s going on and have some sort of plan for fixing your mistakes you’ll be fine. You’ll notice that everything about your game will improve: timing, strategy, reacting to what your opponent is doing. Just don’t get upset if you lose a lot.

I’m doing much better against the Akiba comp now, although it’s not translating into tons of wins yet. I actually haven’t been getting frustrated, this is the most fun I’ve had with GG since Jon, Justin and Billy were still into it.
I’m addicted to drink vending machines here. I already know that’s going to be a source of angst when I get back.

Man, about MGS4, they are pimping that game like fucking crazy here. There was some ten- or twenty-storey building in Shibuya with a picture of Old Snake aiming a gun at you… like over the entire side of the building. Pretty much every other high-rise in Shibuya has Snake on it.

Hey Andrew it sucks that I didn’t get to meet up with you before you left for Japan, but hopefully you have fun and don’t get yourself killed. I should still be around CoMo when you get back.

hey matt, whaddup it’s Paul. Did you ever get a PS3, or no-go? If so, you should drop me your PSN so we can play. There’s another guy, Julian who plays DR but he’s not on SRK I don’t think. We should hook up for games.
As for GG, there seems to be interest here in dusting off the scene. I still play a lot, and if Josh isn’t dead he knows a thing or three about the game, as does Nick. We should get a hookup going, maybe play some GG, 3S, DR etc.
Bad thing is, my weekends for the next three weeks are booked solid, at least until Sun nights. What’s everybody’s weekday schedule lookin like?
Also bad, I can’t host because all my games are in a room the size of a crackerjack box, so who can?

It’s not like you can’t move the PS3 in the living room when you host - the problem is the small crappy TV :\
Just remember no matter how bad your place seems to be for hosting keep in mind these two key things.
- You haven’t experienced 3 feet of raw sewage in your house.
- You don’t live in iowa and are experiencing major flooding for the 2nd time in your life.
