After seeing that Bad Stone has a EX version, I was wondering if they are gonna include his Fake Throw.I don’t recall people using it but just thought about it.
I know that it used start instead of two buttons but I was thinking in a tournament, using that start on a TE would make it noticeable and easy to punish. So should it not be included in SSF4?

It should definitely be included! Almost everythign can be used in sme way or another, and especially with a projectile bait in a game like SFIV. You can bait fireballs or jumps with it if you use it right.

Some interesting stuff I found out, which I have a video of, or rather a friend does.

Second Ultra is ass, doesn’t seem to combo. Spray hits and nothing else.

Ruffian Kicks are slow startup it seems.

st.fierce and st.roundhouse are still gdlk Anti-Airs.

Sweep comes out stupid fast, great for whiff punishing.

I found the first BnB with Cody though, it does respectable damage+meter.

f.strong, c.strong xx CU/RK

I didn’t have time to flesh out and see if f.strong, c.fierce works. It may. On counter-hit that shit is free.

I wasn’t able to FADC any hits of CU after the initial hit. People were having trouble doing specials it seemed on the TV. So maybe it was executional error.

You are right… the blurriness and lag of the stream made it seem like it was a combo… but I looked at it again and it wasn’t. Also Mno just said it wasn’t.

U1 aka Final Destruction. First hit ‘captures’ and goes straight into Animation as we all knew.

It comes out fast and the punch is similar to an overhead in style. I wanted to test it out and see if I could correctly use it as an Anti-Air. It’s always nice to have options/shutdown options.

I’m not 100%, but I’m pretty sure you can AA with roundhouse RK and U1. Maybe have to FADC it. On counter-hit it seems like it SHOULD work.

c.fp doesn’t seem as good as it was in A3. I found myself just using the standing variations to knock people out of the air like I said.

His overhead hurts, couldn’t find anything interesting other then it’s an OH so far.

He has great jump-ins. His A3 footsies are still very much there.

I’m waiting for my friend to upload video so I can spark my memory a little bit more on what we’ve done. Vegas party after FC no good.

I will say, my first hands-on with Cody I was very emo and disappointed. Seeing the slow start-up of ruffian kicks and his kind of ‘floaty’ jump.

After a while though, I’m completely in love with the character. He just feels so RIGHT.

I remember towards the end I was wishing I had frame data sheets for Cody to read while waiting to play. :rofl:

I wonder if you use MK Ruffian (that is if MK ruffian still knocks down on hit) can you fadc into the other ultra… Considering it does seem like a pick up.

Yep, S.RH is still godly as fuck. I mentioned it a few times.

I didn’t get time to air-air much, s.fp and s.rh really just shit on all jump-ins thrown at me.

But nuetral jump roundhouse, strong, and jump fierce and jump strong seemed like the best air-to-air normals.

Didn’t try out CU for anti-air much. I can tell you it’s fast enough to be applicable though. I think I used the strong version once or twice against a mid/far jump-in.

His throw range is decent. Didn’t have time to find out if he had a kara :stuck_out_tongue:

His FA range is amazing. Plus he takes a step back, really liking it.
