Experimenting with FA Taunt with Cody (taunt 5), if the next fireball is late enough to where it won’t hit his head, he’ll lay down and nap under the next one. He has to be laying all the way down.

Not useful but a source of training mode amusement.

cody is nice especially with his zonks i baied out reversals on wake just for em to get hit by ex zonk! beat out alot of invincible moves

I was fucking around with the viability of normals and specials as anti airs. I found that back mp is fucking unholy good and what you should be using 90% of the time. I use HK ruffian kick for jump ins that are a little further out, and if you trade you can add on (spacing dependent) Ex ruffian kick for 230 total damage, well worth the one bar in my opinion.

I tested cr. FP and st. RH as anti airs and they’re not very useful, they trade almost every time.

I posted this in the zonk uses thread, but you can kara criminal upper and zonk knuckle with st.mk or st.rh. The zonk knuckle kara is actually useful for getting through fireballs at better ranges.

nj fp is an actually good AA for closer jumpins and even some cross ups

it either beat t clean or traded with the other guy fallin down waiting for cody to rape him…

Yeah, I’ve noticed that I haven’t been punished as much when I do that combo. He has lots of AA’s his Jaw Breaker and s.HP is best at a distance, HK Ruffian is difficult to time but you can get stuff after it. HK is good when they’re right above you (I could be mistaken, I can’t remember).

I suck with Cody now but I see in the future with experience he’ll be pretty good. He’s got a lot to learn about him.

I’ve been using this to annoy DJ’s. Get a lead on his ass and knock him full screen–IT’S NAP TIME, SON.

I’m using Cody as my main, but I’m having some trouble getting his feel down.
I always try to RTSD with every character I use, but people are still running away from me.
How do I get in close without jumping all the time? Where can I find a list of all of his EX move properties?
I’m having trouble fighting turtle Ryu’s who run away all day with hurricanes.

Any help or advice would be appreciated, thanks.

A bit late for me, didn’t get a chance to skim through for this bit of info but, if you can connect a roundhouse ruffian kick off of something like a whiffed fierce / EX Shoryu, it’s a free juggle for a BINGO, probably an ultra. I managed to repeat this again against a Juri that liked to dive kick at max jump height, but I’m not 100% sure if it’s a free follow up to it if it is not a counter hit. Correct me if I’m wrong and if this has already been mentioned.

One last thing I found out on Zangief, if they happen to like that lariat a lot keep a Zonk Punch saved up. If you’re out of range of Gief’s arms and he misses completely, should get a clean BINGO; or so it was in my experience.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but a traded HK Ruffian DOES NOT go into Ultra1 even if you dash in and try it

Also, cLP x4 with knife - and if blocked, cMP afterwards for counter hit fun :woot:

yeah dude. j.rh is pretty good. its still horrible as far as getting owned by AA’s/ but for hitting, that move is active for like 10 frames, so you can hit it really early, and the hitstun it causes is great! i can throw it out around the apex of my jump and still combo, plus it has some random ambiguity going with it.

def. gonna have to try it. i saw that chris hu tried using it a lot in the video vs. andre.

I know EX zonk is invinicible to both hits and throws, but it seems like EX CU is throw invinicible. Can anyone confirm?

I’ve been using c.lp c.lp > c.lk xxx HCU as a bnb recently. Though it does less damage than using cr.mp, you have DAYS to link, it makes everything a lot easier.

I feel pretty confident in my results, but anyone is free to confirm. Seems like the chief reason it won’t work on those certain characters is that the jab CU doesn’t knock them high enough for the EX CU to juggle.
