Man I just don’t understand RockStar Games ,I mean are they trying to get their games pulled? I mean just look at this crap in the new GTAIV download…are they gay?

Whats up all, been on SRK for a while now and didn’t think there was anyone in the Arkon area who still played. Granted this is the cleveland thread which is prolly why I never checked in here, but if you are normally playing in Macendonia thats only about 20 minuiets from me.
THat being said there are a few of us in this area that are still playing SF and just got our hands on some SFIV. I figured now was as good a time as any to try and link up with you guys to help improve our game. I don’t get a lot of time to play, with work and family but I am sure we could get together once a month.
Just wanted to put the offer out there and see what you all thought. I can only check the forums at work, no internetz at home, but I am always up for some games, let me know what you think.

We usually play on saturday night at my friends house in Green, he’s got a 360 and a couple Hori sticks. Since we work retail however we usually get toghther pretty late, after 10 uaually. I will have to get a hold of him and see if hes cool with having peeps over. We may beable to get some reps in at my place but I don’t have a system that will run SFIV. I will keep ya posted.
I am always up for 3S or Tekken on my PS2 though.

If not hopefully we can get some weekend games going sometime. If you could make the drive out I’ve got a lot of space/all systems/4 TVs. I won’t be able to go out late the next couple weekends since I’m housesitting though 
But one of the upcoming Saturdays or Sundays during the day I could prob have people over.
I dunno why people are hype for SFIV – I’ll give it a chance, but it feels pretty much like a slow SFII with a halfassed parry game. Ultra combos are duuumb. Nobody liked SF3 when it came out though, and that turned out to be a good series…
Depends on if I can get away from the wife, shes pregnant with number 3 ya know. If we can it will prolly only be two of us to start, we are the only ones really into it. We are trying to get some more peeps we know to play, on guy is up and comming but can’t get out of a fireball trap yet, which means I keep putting him in one :razzy:

Good that you can get some people into SFII – feels like forever ago that most people played videogames to be challenged instead of just as brain-dead recreation.

It seems like a cross between EX 3 and Turbo.
I am willing to give SFIV it’s due. I think something that gootecks said in the SF podcast could be possible though. He said that 3S could become this generations ST, I.E. there will always be people playing 3S no matter what comes after it. Sounds like an interesting idea, I can see it happening that way. I also think that the West Coast is big on embracing the new SF more than a lot of us out east here.
Anyone else think pad only for the Gamestop tourney of SFIV is retarded?
Yeah – I saw the Macedonia GS is participating but even if you win a store, like it’ll be worth it to travel to wherever and play anyone – scrub or good – on 360 pads. But I understand what Wizard said about just getting SF and Capcom more mainstream exposure, which is why SFII was big in the first place. Just too bad they can’t allow people to hook controllers up cos those kiosks suck so bad.
I’ll be home on time, so anytime after 6 is good. I have to beat it with Fei Long, Gouki anyway if people are late. Well I guess since Seth is not banned I have to beat it with all the default chars … blah.
If I remember correctly SF II was big because you couldnt walk without tripping over an arcade cabnet of it. Hell the first time I played it was at a truckstop on the way to Maryland lol. Anywho I am going to talk to everone around here about getting together, I will try for a Thursday but if not maybe a Saturday sometime soon.
