Cincinnati OH, Dayton OH, and Northern Kentucky: I have the best Wesker!

Its tight but that beginning looks alot like scorpions. At least it has a reminiscence.

His second one is pretty unique to him though.

MK has always recycled Fatality ideas :/…but I suppose it is for the better. Too much thinking might cause them some stress. lol. Anybody wanna play Stress Kombat?

I think anything beyond quick sword strikes or blowing people up is going into the realm of torture, and that could net the game an AO rating if they’re not careful. So in that way, the fatalities can’t be too “imaginative”, if you get my meaning

Wanted to be sure to thank Zach for fixing my stick yesterday. That was a scary couple of minutes.

How well can he fix sticks? Got an SE, EX2 (SC4 version) and HFS3 that could all use looking at. Kinda afraid the HFS3 might be completely toast, though.

Well, it was just one wire that came loose from a solder point and it was easy to locate the problem and fix it. The cool part was that it broke towards the beginning of the day and he kinda just fixed it within the half hour, so I didn’t have to be sad face the whole time. I guess you can ask him whatever, but I didn’t mean to sign him up to fix a bunch of sticks out of nowhere. Also, I’m pretty sure that once an hfs is broken, it’s broke for good unless you want to put way too much work into it. TAKE BETTER CARE OF YOUR STICKS.

So is everyone of the opinion that any arcade SSFIV characters will eventually be $5-7 each on PSN/XBL? It’d be ridiculous if they didn’t give console DLC characters after saying they’ve now implemented the “framework” into SSFIV.

My .02 will be put toward them releasing a new disc copy, SSFIV Turbo. So 90s!

That would be bullshit either way, unless they were free. They’re already about to get more money for alt 3/4. While I don’t hate Super, it doesn’t make me want to play badly enough to spend THAT much more on it. So either way, it would be out of the question, unless I was feeling very frivolous, and there was a shortage of other games to play.

It’d definitely be cool if they could release DLC characters for free, but I have a feeling that since ArcSys is getting away with it, Capcom will milk it for all it’s worth as well. Just something else to plan for when organizing tournaments

Man, game companies will fuck over gamers as long as we let them get away with it (see: forever). It’s like an abusive relationship. They say they love you but they knock your ass out everytime dinner isn’t on the table when they get home from work. Microtransactions? Done. Game price increases? Done. 20 dollars for “classic” games (those motherfuckers are 10+ years old)? Done. Paying extra for online when you buy a used game? DONE.

As long as we put up with anything they will do anything.

Has development team make something after game’s release. Expects company to magically make more money to pay the development team without charging for the content they worked on.

I’m not trying to really defend a company. I’d at least say that unless you’re Valve and can make a mega release or series of widely bought games that pretty much sets your company up for constant success (most recently TF2, which every PC gamer probably bought at some point), and/or also own an online gaming distribution store that helps pay the company salaries or are an MMO that charges monthly fees, then you can’t really expect them to give you free new shit in their games all the time. People working need to get paid and the money has to come from somewhere. It’s going to be our pockets since that’s the most reliable source, the consumer who is a fan of the series.

BTW knowing Capcom, since they’ll probably release all the characters together rather than Arcsys who is working on each character one at a time. They’ll come as a package if they even are released as DLC. So maybe it’ll be something like $15 for all the characters!

Oh and to reply to the above, ya it’s garbage to charge tons of cash for classic games.

Working on extra content is what I like about DLC, but there are the worries that games can be pushed out “half done” and then you pay to get a “full” game later. I think that paying for more characters isn’t bad. It’s better than paying for SSFIV Turbo. I only worry because all setups necessary for tournaments will be required to have all characters purchased. It could potentially limit the number of volunteer setups coming into an event.

I think Capcom did pretty well profit wise on 4. They got a small hardly known company to develop the game. Now if they got a huge studio to do the game then I can see them hurting for money. Anything over 4 bucks per character is too much and they would probably charge about 7 per character. So by the end of it people are paying more for 6 characters than they did for the original game. If people are paying for virtual clothing on ps home then they’ll buy anything. I won’t buy costumes or colors. I’d rather them put out something that actually advances the gameplay.

Well unfortunately, they have to charge more per character than the alternate costumes. Otherwise they’ll be saying “this character is worth as much as a silly costume for 4 characters”.

Stupid, but it’s really what’s going to happen, or it’s an excuse for them to charge more.

sigh

Note quite as funny as Dragonball, but still entertaining.

GS to Matthias for being the voice of reason. If you already bought the game, there is no reason for them to keep working on it unless you pay for the extra work they are doing. It’s like taxes. If you want your government to do stuff, you have to be prepared to pay them more money to do it. How many people pay 10$ (is that how much MMOs cost?) to play a game they already technically own for one month? If you ask me, even 10$ a character isn’t bad if you get to keep that character forever, and it’s still free to play the game whenever you want. If they were charging a monthly fee, then I’d be upset if I had to make any additional purchases, but I mean if you want them to add stuff, you just have to pay for it and that’s all there is to it. Otherwise you’re asking people to work for free.

Also, it seems to me that video game development has become a lot more expensive over the years, and this is just one of the drawbacks to a fancier product with more man hours involved.

Also, when I look at BlazBlue, I think of what Nathan just said about charging for unfinished games. If you look at the proximity of Makoto’s release to the game’s release, you really wonder why they didn’t just push the game’s release back until Makoto could be included. Actually, am I just making this up or are BB’s characters actually on the disc and you’re just downloading an unlock for them?

TLDR, stop wishing for dlc if you’re not willing to pay for it.

Right. It’s not like these characters were promised or anything. I think a lot of people are unhappy because if they want to stay competitive they basically have to buy these characters so they either learn the matchup or learn how to play the character.

BlazBlue’s DLC characters are not on the disc, so it’s more than just an unlock.

This is how games are going to be, and it’s only going to get worse and worse because companies can get away with it, and gamers can’t really say no.

How are the property values in tekken city?
