I may be done with 777s for a while…

Good, read a book or something, haha.

NEVAR!

maybe I will read the Tekken6 strat guide…

Here’s the deal with HNK. Atomiswave is wired differently than any other fighting game before it. It doesn’t plug and play with ANYTHING because it’s 5 buttons that are wired directly from the Jamma harness. All the fighting games that use more than 4 buttons have an auxiliary kick harness that plugs into the board. SO, when the wiring happens on the new Showcase cab, I’m going to see if we can make it work for every type of board. Since we are basically starting from scratch, it seems like it should be doable. I know it’s possible, but I don’t know if we can do it in this cab. As soon as the artwork is done, we can wire the cab and that will only take a day. So it should be soon. In the meantime, it can only be played on the Supergun. I was going to change those buttons, so I opened the sticks only to find that everything is sautered together. Not sure why they didn’t use quick disconnects. That makes it quite a chore as the whole stick has to de dismantled, completely rewired and remantled (I’m pretty sure that’s not a word but it should be). There’s one more option that I’m looking into just in case we can’t get it wired the way I want it. As usual, I will keep everyone informed of progress and new happenings.

Which brings me to this. We just picked up a dual screen MvC2 sit down cab today! Some Daytonites may remember these from the recently deceased Pocket Change arcade in Dayton Mall. Awesome cab, not so awesome buttons and sticks. I am ordering some tonight so hopefully in a week we will have it nice and playable. I can’t get Japanese sticks for this cab right now. It would require a whole new panel and wiring for each player and I need to finish one project at a time.

Now with the new MvC2 cab in, we will be putting PROJECT JUSTICE in it’s own cab full time! Hopefully Quentin will once again lend his art to a new marquee for the game. I know he is bogged down with other stuff so if anyone else would like to give it go, PM me or talk to me Thursday about it.

And finally, we will be getting some new games soon. You’ll notice right away that the place is a bit leaner if you come tomorrow. D&D, Double Dragon II and the unecessary 2nd MKII cab are all gone. We may have a BATTLEZONE up and running tomorrow and I am checking out a potential HUGE buy on Friday so look out. Now if only I can find a 3S board…

#1: Is it the playable cab (i.e. the first one they got), or the 2nd one that had horrible button spacing? I know you can redrill holes and whatnot. Also the 2nd one had WAY better monitors.

#2: OMG at CPS3? Or was it a different board altogether for SF3? I cant remember.

Ah the memories of putting the 1st one together… with the tiny little hairplug-infused manager when they reopened.
Kinda odd though, I now have 0 reasons to go to the mall outside of the holidays.
sheads a tear

#1 - It’s the playable cab with the not as awesome monitors. We might be coming into some new monitors soon so we will swap them out if that happens.

#2 - 3S is CPS-3, but it’s becoming scarce because a huge portion of them died before anyone knew there was an issue with that. I saw an auction on ebay for around 60 dead carts! No cart=no game. I can’t imagine how many are dead like this. Sad news.

#3 - did you get my PM Skeez? MVS related

#1 - that one was VERY playable, but the sticks needed the grease alot.

#2- Sounds like an epidemic! GET THE VACCINE QUICK!!

#3- PMs are for LURKERS!!! uh yea, sent you a reply lol…

They really closed? I had heard they were just changing their game collection. I was just about to go over there and play some marvel this past weekend. :frowning:

Has anyone ever played on the FANTA Korean sticks? From what I’ve read, they sound like my new favorite stick.

@Cynosure - They really did close for good. They had planned on selling off old games and completely redoing the place but the owner decided last minute to just shut down. I just found this out today when I was picking up the game.

whos this guy

As long as their SANWA-esque, I probably won’t care. Does FANTA make grape soda flavored sticks? That would be boss.

A Dayton resident and mahvel enthusiast. Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited that AL acquired one of those machines, but it’s always sad to see an arcade close.

I wanted to try the Fanta. I was thinking of getting one when this tax money comes through.
