I’ll probably be at the arcade on saturday for the tournament.
Any of you guys play VF5? I picked it up in Japan when I got my PS3 so no online and I haven’t gotten to play it in quite a while, so I’d like to see if I still suck at it like I did overseas.
A question for all who give a damn. When our first couple Sanwa sticks come in, which of our games would you like to see them on first? We will eventually get them all done but where to start?
Obviously the big cab, then MvC2 as the 2P stick randomly fails at moving up+left and down+left, followed by whatever else. I hear the SF2T cab sticks are questionable, so that might be good. From what I played of the CvS2 machine, the sticks there are pretty good.
I don’t think I could name a Marvel cabinet with sanwas in it existing in the US. Most players prefer American sticks for that game (as do I). Do you have any convex Happ buttons back there? Those would be more appreciated than the concave ones currently installed. And as Matt said in the other thread, thanks for listening to our constant whining lol, you’re doing a great job and being very patient with us 
But would it make Marvel better? I’m all about making things better when possible.
Marvel just isn’t played with Sanwas. The vast majority of players don’t like it 
The game just plays better on U.S. sticks for almost everyone into it, esp in the arcade. Sanwas would get pretty fucked up

I’m trying to get a count of people who are bringing their sticks tomorrow so I can be sure we have enough. We need 4 PS3 and 4 XBOX 360 sticks. I’ve had a decent amount of people offer their sticks, I just want to be sure there are enough. Thanks
Actually, I’d suggest leaving most of the sticks Happ (except the PS3 setup).
I’d thought the goal of the place was to recapture the arcade experience, and in this country, that definately means going Happ.
Also, there’s the economic factor to look at. Sanwa buttons are tested for one million presses. Happ/iL’s on the other hand, are for 10 million (at least the switch is on the Happ). More presses in a lifetime means having to replace parts less often (although I think the 2P stick on Marvel could stand to be looked at, from when I was there last week). Further, because of import costs, a Sanwa button costs more than a Happ. Since you’d be doing replacements roughly 10 times as often, that exta cost adds up.
With the reasonable rates you charge, and length of time folks like us from here stay, it would probably be a poor decision to look into going all-Sanwa at this point. It is, however, something to think about for the future, when you’ve been there a few months and are solidly in the black.
Oh, and yes, I do love my pre-war Iraqi 5-dinar note, as well as the Ms. Pac Man cart.
That Tekken 6 trailer has me pumped for that shit.
Tekken isnt even my shit, but I imagine this being 780378903709 times better than SFIV. Actually, I knew SFIV was gonna suck as soon as I saw how the characters look.
Tekken Force looks awesome, and the customisation rivals WRPG’s.
Now, as long as they still do profiles…I can imagine everyone with a copy arguing over who’s customs will be getting used.

and Tiberious, HAPP buttons don’t realistically last 10x longer than Sanwas, trust me. I’ve got a cabinet that I put Sanwas on that have been going strong for 2+ years now. I do agree Marvel specifically is a game that should probably stick to HAPP, but for most other games (3s, ST, etc) Sanwa is so nice. Even Jason Wilson’s arcade Galaxy has Sanwa parts on a good portion of games. Not just hardcore fighters either, hell, he has Snow Bros. on an Astro City with Sanwas because it makes him a lot of money.

Went down to Galaxy Arcade in Nashville last week and Tekken 6 is pretty sweet, a lot of changes though. I might have to get back into Tekken for real for this one (its been since TTT that I seriously played Tekken)
Gonna have to say I disagree on the BlazBlue front. Game is a lot of fun, and Guilty Gear has a very serious scene. At Final Round this year, GG was like 110 entrants to Tekkens 60 or something. Kentucky has a very very strong Guilty Gear scene with some players around cinnci. They’ve been traveling to Nashville to play BB a LOT lately too. KOF12 does look hype too, but BB is a really fun game.

Phil: That is hella crazy that Harada got put in2 a full life juggle from working on Tekken. Due to battling “The Work Boss” in a long, gruelling fight, Harada got sloppy in throwing out those unsafe “Working Too Much” moves & got hit by the ever dangerous “Relationship Ender” unblockable, which popped him up in the air leading to a dangerous juggle, bound, & wall juggle scenario which no mother-fucker could recover from taking all his life meter away. From these unfortunate events, Harada leveled up & went in2 Full Rage Mode like Jin Kazama where he was in permanate rage & is whooping “The Work Boss’” ass right now as we speak. You don’t mess w/ him. That dude is one hardcore mother-fucker! :tup: :lol:

Good news and awesome news. Tomorrow we are going to be open till midnight so stay later if you want and get your moneys worth. We are having some sort of souped up car get together. Not my forte but whatever gets people in the place is cool with me. And the awesome news is that we do indeed have our INITIAL D version 3 up and running and ready for play. We will also have KOF98 in tomorrow (today I guess as it is 2am). You picked a good day to come unless you wanted to play D&D. The monitor exploded today so that will be out of commission for a while or maybe forever. Hopefully I can get the SuperGun setup tomorrow as well and you will have even more new stuff to play. I will be there until 6 so hopefully I will see some of you guys before I leave.
